Windows Phone>iOS>Android>Symbian
I prefer reliable and fluid phones. Nothing pissing me off more than those random crashes/freezes and having to reboot the phone daily. WP and iOS have highest customer satisfaction.

what wow, 17 Jun 2012man you are unaware of how android works. the fact that you... moreMy 1GHz Galaxy S runs flash like crap. Android is resource hog for sure. Lumia 610 is definitely runs faster than my Galaxy S and all the Android phones in its class. The reason Skype, Angry Bird and some games don't work because Windows Phone started out with 512MB RAM. 256MB RAM is new, so some apps need to recoding like Rovio is doing with Angry Bird.

AnonD-54125, 17 Jun 2012That's the painful truth that most android users refuse to ... moreman you are unaware of how android works. the fact that you say it's a resource hog and that if you compare similar specs symbian with android symbian wins, shows that you dont know how android works.

1st the resource hog issue. Android with say 1gb ram or 512 or 256 or what ever, will always try to keep all the ram ocupied. Thats how android uses ram. It's not like windows where ram that is free is a good thing and yo ucan feel the os move faster. Everyone knows this fro mwindows. With android it's the opposite. If the ram is free then it means something wrong. Android keep the ram filled with the last programs used so that when you star an app chances are you will request a previously opened app so it loads instanly. If you dont believe me google it and you wil see i'm right.

2nd Take any similar specs categoryes you want and nothign on the market touches android. Not symbian, not meego, not iOS.
FOr example 600 mhz and 256 ram. Ok ? Symbian s60v5 runs like crap on such a config. It doesn't even play flash in browser. An android iven the fact that it can use an arm8 of 600mhz will play flash in browser. Also becaues the ram is always filled with apps, it will launch suepr fast. Symbian will actually have to load the app from memory to ram of course via cpu wich takes time. With android it's ram to cpu to screen. Bam ultra fast. Same goes with iOS and wp..try a 600mhz 256 ram WP and it won't run skype and angry birds and other apps. LOL WHAT ? WHY ? Cause it's a poor OS. I don't know about an iOS on 600mhz and 256. I think it would be on par cause it's unix/linux whatever just like android is linux.
Anyway dont even try to compare similar spec symbian with android. It's never ever gonna be as fast just for oen reason. android uses ram differently. App area always in ram, like you can say pre-chached, ready to go in nanoseconds. Symbian and WP have ot load the apps into the ram first.

lalo, 17 Jun 2012hi, well tell me. i got just update for transformer prime a... moreThat's the painful truth that most android users refuse to accept. The gs3 is the first android phone I've owned but not the first I've used. I've always bought nokia but I wont make the jump to lumia until windows8 and hopefully its optimised. The best low spec phone I've used was my trusty n900 and it left a great impression on me. I installed and ran windows xp. What android with specs as horrible as the n900 can do that? But that was maemo. I bought the n9 and had no regrets only qwerty could have made it better. The gs3 next to it makes it look outdated in terms of specs but not in terms of features and capability but I haven't regretted buying it either. What sucks is that I have all these cores and no use for them. I dont plan on playin games on my mobile. Thats why I bought an alienware. Anybody in the gaming community will tell you that you always have trade offs when you up the specs. Alienware are heavy and expensive but plays most games on high settings. Clevo will get you desktop performance but no battery life. The same applies to mobiles. Using my n900 taught me that virtual cannot compare to the real qwerty in no category. If I could get galaxy gs3 hardware, meego software with a qwerty that would cement a phone for me. I'm still pushing android to find out its limits but I think the gs3 was the best device to do so. Again android is relatively new and needs to be optimised.

Please Nokia!!! Please?? Dont bring the Pure View Symbian Smartphone to the US. Symbian is not going to sell here. We dont need it. Concentrate in adding the Pureview technology into your future Windows phone and then come to us with a decent phone worth buying

Now i kno back in the Symbian day(imo the 6230 was the best phone of its time, a phone that had everything in one when others didnt, so was the n93 n n95 etc.) however i disagree that a single core symbian is better than any single core android. U also sed something about single core android not being able to handle an 8mp camera but there is the xperia neo, ray and arc and imo the arc s is one of the best single core phones(excluding the absence of a front camera). Plus the 1.4 GHz processor is gr8 n the screen is awesome

I dont understand why there are so many argument on whether Nokia should switch to Android. Android may be a choice if Nokia chose to adopt it. However, I do feel sad if there are only two/three major OS available in this market.

Some people may claim Belle may not be very competitive under nowadays standard. However, please do understanding that belle has been developed in a very different technology environment compare to nowadays mobile technology. In the past there is no such thing about HD screen, the battery life is much poor, the chips is much slower and so on. The aim of the development of belle is how to manage to make a phone become a small computer under these poor conduction. Please do give some credit to Belle of the development of the mobile OS.

For my point of view Belle may look old and out dated but it serves well since I just use my phone on surfing the web, sending email, taking simple note or running some simple game. Since 808 has one of the unique function, in which no other phone has in the market. I do think I will go to purchase it under a reasonable price.

[deleted post]You are what we in the caribbean call an internet bad man. Using the internet as a shield to be aggressive and nasty when you can just as easy be as civil as I am and before you go down the wrong road let me tell you that I just bought the gs3 and I'm very impressed. I have never and will never buy a crapple phone. I said compare a symbian and an android with the same specs and the symbian wins. I never said symbian is better. That is a preference. Android is a resource hog. Symbian isn't. What cant you understand? My nokia 2690 has more features than alot of top tier phones while being a piece of shit compared to the gs3. You saying that the ice cream sandwich I got from the xda dev site was a crap rom, then how can you explain meego running so nice on samsung? See how I expounded my ideas without once getting violent? Symbian is better on cheap phones. Android require expensive phones. Case closed
