Would you rather have an exploding battery, a broken screen and hinge(which you use a 100 times a day) or a phone that bends that you will never bend yourself?

One can understand if smaller brands deliver a product like that.

And apple still gives 5V - 1A charger to their phones and they are excluded in box.
Samsung also is going to exclude chargers in the box and even those phones who supports 30-40 or even 50 and above charging solution dont have in box more than 18V -2A charger becasue charging information as always for those super rich companies is nothing else than a marketing gimmick.

Some people simply don't have experience using premium quality hardware.
They blindly buy the most expensive only to get 3rd grade products manufactured using sl*ve labor.

., 13 Jul 2020By that logic nothing in this world is safe.Which is true

JDK, 14 Jul 2020well super fast charging technology like this was introduce... moreThis myth has been proven against, fast charging itself doesn't hurt the battery but if it heats up above regular temperature it will. Oppo has confirmed this and shared two lab results that also debunk this same claim of fast charging killing the battery. And the source you listed has a lot of top comments against that.

And the galaxy fold itself wasn't a fail, it just had issues caught by reviewers before they reached consumers. If you want to see a big fail, look at the Galaxy Note 7, Apple's Bendgate, you get the idea.

"OPPO has apparently confirmed that the 40W tech degrades a battery to 70 percent of its capacity in the same cycles 15W charging would to 90 percent." [ https://www.phonearena.com/news/OPPOs-40W-fast-charging-not-good-for-battery-longevity_id124509 ]
One can only imagine what would be the effect of 125 W then.

Also remember the galaxy fold fiasco? 10 years(that's right 10 years) of development, still 1 failed product. Remember?

Maybe because cars aren't used only for a year like garbage Chinese phones which receive 1 year of support anyway and are then thrown away.

Just like planes and cars and electricity needed perfection, so does fast charging. Simple.

If apple released it this early I would still say that it needed perfection.

Same thing with fast charging. To make it viable, make it safe(which means no battery degration). And right now it is not safe. Just like how back in the day, flying was dangerous, using a car was a bit hard, and electricity was hard to control. Same thing.

They don't care about battery life. In fact it's better for them if battery dies in 2 years.
