This is one of the reasons that i took Nexus and have'nt tooken SII. In a month I'll get 4.1 but it ain't a fact that SII users'll get it too. And I hope that whan Android 5 will come, Google won't forget about us, Nexus users.

It's with regrets than S2 mea region have yet to be updated to ICS, pathetic. Samsung are cashing its popularity which has to crash somedays. Quality after sales and its updates are hopless services by Sammy.
Jelly is also a face lift changes here ad there

To a lot of SGS2 users (there are few tens of millions of you out there) that are afraid that you won't get JB:
Yes, I know Scamsung has a tendancy not to update their phones and just tells you to buy their newest product if you want the best iteration of Android to date. But I think you will all get the update to Android v4.1 JB, but I'm not so sure about Android v5.0 Key Lime Pie.
But it is Scamsung, so you never know! ;P

I doubt we'll see it on an S2 (unless someone ports it across). Samsung's argument will be "Go buy an S3". :(

Plus microsoft have done the same again. Made the software dependent on specific hardware requirements so you have to buy new hardware. Microsoft are just as bad as Apple if not worse! Core ICS on the Galaxy Nexus runs smooth and fast and it looks really nice. Best phone i have ever had.

Android can be adapted to the hardware of the phone... I had ICS running on a HD2! So its really up to the Manu's and if they want it on those phones. Its not like Windows that purposely spec it so you have to buy new hardware

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2012Since Google already use Asus as the OEM, seem like they fi... moregoogle is not that kind of company, first nexus was made by HTC, and the others samsung, and then now asus. its like a roll when you'll get a turn, its rumored that this years nexus will come from many company not only samsung or asus.
about the motorola, its google we talked about, the source is already floating on the net, virtually anybody with developer skill can grab it now and make their software. unlike the others who holds feature to forse customer to buy their newer phone.
