bubu, 28 Jun 2012SIM free is the BEST option to buy a smartphone. NOTHING ... moreThat's not always the case - for example, taking my usage and the sim-only deals into account I still saved £250 by going for the Galaxy S2 on contract.

I've generally found that the higher usage tariffs will offer a massive discount on getting a SIM-free phone and SIMO deal if you actually need the minutes, texts and data. Not always the case, but if you have a calculator and a notepad you can save quite a bit of cash if you go contract.

I was not refering to S3's screen pixels number, but its quality, its technology. I know Nokia use Samsung screens, but they improve them with Clear Black technology!

Nokia juse SHARP display not Samsung.

SHARP and SANYO used to supply LCD display to Nokia. For AMOLED, Samsung supplies Nokia.

i have a nokia n9, n8, lumia 800, htc sensation, htc one x, i agree that the display is better than anything symbian can offer web browser etc etc but i found that for an all round durable phone nothing beats the n8 nothing offers the camera, hdmi out, usb capabiltity, fm transmitter, real bluetooth, great battery and decent appps( of course this is where ios and android absolutely kill symbian)plays almost any video file, music file, real gps, great connectivity. the display is great in direct sunlight. had the htc sensation about a month before i broke the screen. the one x same thing broken screen. none of my nokia's ever broke . i am a fitter in the mines leave them in my pocket found droids so fragile and after i got sick of the games found it boring, but with the n8 the features are so useful congratulations nokia i will be buying a 808 pureview thank you

I guess i'll be using my N8 till it breaks.
Never, ever will I get a Nokia again.

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2012Its only a fail product if you completely ignore the camera... morefirst of all, i'd say i love belle as i have c6-01. but now is about time for me to change my phone and having toss up between 808 and SGS3 primarily because of the OS.

i love belle because it works great, smooth and have most of the applications i need especially they now give us MS office apps for free. unfortunately, i'd really love to get the latest apps (games) that are only available in iOS and android. previously i have been getting the latest HD games for Symbian^3. now, there are hardly any new games i can get.

to nokia: i love symbian (nokia OS, if you will), but we don't get enough apps to keep up with iOS and android users. i have kept my hopes high but it's slowly going down the drain.

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2012N9 has higher PPI than SGS2.N9 PPI slightly higher than S II as it resolution is 480 x 854 pixels where S II only 480x800. It was basically similar PPI in general.

This even proof this phone is nothing beside camera.

Not sure you all is buying phone or camera.

                                    Summary:
                                    Pros of 808
                                    - Fantastic Camera (no deny)
                                    - Better audio (probably only)

                                    Cons of 808
                                    - Low resolution, 360x640 only.
                                    - Not great for internet surfing due to low resolution.
                                    - Bad Design, it looks like previous ugly phone 5800 XM.
                                    - Bulky, thanks to it over size camera.
                                    - Obsolete OS platform, less developer support.

                                    * This phone will be much better and acceptable, if it resolution at least 800x480 or higher (better in 1280x720), such higher camera in such resolution screen is some what waste, what the point watching HD video in such SD resolution.

                                    * This phone will be much better if it pre-loaded with MeeGo, a bright light possible OS, but badly decision by Nokia abandon it.

                                    * Also you look more on your phone screen than any others else. How many times you use camera than others staff, unless you told me you buy this phone is purposely for snapping photo only and direct transfer to PC after snap. I doubt anyone doing this instant.

Sure its probably going to die, but Bell runs wonderfully on the 808 with the most recent feature pack. Couple that with the best audio recording ability on any phone along with the amazing camera! Ignore the screen resolution... who takes pictures with their awesome camera phone just to view them on that tiny screen? I upload my photos to my computer and view them on there if I want to truly appreciate them.
