What's stopping someone from giving aftermarket casing of the phone like a black smith? Phones can be made repairable by rubber seal and screws as in laptops. Tws earbuds is just a waste of money. I would suggest anyone thinking of buying it should make it the last.

I support the cause but manufacturers are trying their best to deter self-repairs. I don't have the necessary tools or skills to repair most of my own devices, because they're so challenging to the layman.

MrDong, 13 Aug 2020Lol I forgot 😃HAHAHAHAH nah its fine dont get me wrong Apples phone's do have higher repairibilty scores comapred to Samsungs and I commend them for that. Even though Samsung phones get 3 out of 10 which is low I can take my phone to a non samsung store get the battery replaced. It still isnt 0 out of 10 which is what Airpods got.. They are literally designed not to have their battery replaced and thats what I cant support.

          Looks like samosa Lol.

They probably sound pretty bad, but at least they can take a beating and are repairable.

The "Beans" in the video should how most electronics should be designed, so that -- even if not meant to be fixed at home -- at least it can be parted and recycled properly instead of ending up in a landfill.

Make one think, why not just make it with replaceable batteries, music won't wait.
If graphene batteries with double capacity comes it may be different, not now though.

MrDong, 13 Aug 2020Lol quite the oppositeWhat do you mean quite the opposite?

Samsung galaxy buds over the last year or 2 have been easy to replace batteries. Apple on the other hand you cant, you have to buy replacement airpods.

Well what can you say, whether you're a Samsung fanboy or not, kudos to any manufacturer making its product simple to repair!

Anonymous, 13 Aug 2020Of course Samsung make it easier to replace batteries where... moreYou should check iFixIt ratings for Samsung Galaxy and iPhones.

S10, Note 10, S20 scored 3/10. According to iFixIt (which you can read their teardown), its battery is glued to the panel. Either display or battery damage requires you to replace the whole front panel. Glued back panel are also susceptible to damage if not removed carefully.

iPhone XR, XS, 11, 11 Pro all scores 6/10. Most critical components (battery, display) are fairly easy to remove. Only glass back requires full swap if damaged (damage is easy to avoid with a protective case). Battery uses pull tabs.

Recheck the website carefully if you think I'm lying, but until then iPhone leads in repairability.

Pixel, OnePlus, and Huawei phones do not even have a 6/10. More like 4/10 or 5/10 at most.

Of course Samsung make it easier to replace batteries whereas Apple make it impossible and you will need a new pair quite often
