Looks like Elop is intentionally sabotaging Nokia so his former company Microsoft can easily take over the company. Microsoft needs a hardware division to compete in the cloud like iCloud/iPhone and Google/android. Microsoft will just become a Microsoft dept. Finns lose jobs to Americans.

After using the N9 for 2 months, I must say that i was impressed by its general performance. And for all the phones i owned, only the N9 and wave 1's designs were the most attractive for me. Its a shame for nokia to abandon this OS. If they had just stuck with it then it would have at least had a more decent number of apps and potential sequel phones with better specs.

AnonD-16199, 04 Jul 2012I have used samsung galaxy 3 android phone with 647mhz cpu ... moreI bet you dont know whats the meaning of smoothness...try compare your galaxy 3 with galaxy s3/htc one x then u can talk...probably your galaxy 3 run on 10-30 fps ( inconsistent fps) on the homescreen and you call that smooth..

Nokia has made a very bad decision of dumping Symbian, they should have been more innovative in their phone design and active in marketing. My E series and previous N series phones were the best. In India there used to be no phone like Nokia and most are forced to go for Samsung as other players are not up to mark. Andriod is not as good and mature an OS as the nokia ones

So the next point there will be a new os is meego-based = Tizen? The collaboration between Intel and Samsung? Is this a dream ..? Definitely going to be amazing! Can not wait for its realization ..!!

very sad news... i'm not a nokia fan butt... truly they the only thing that have set them appart... if windows wont be successful, what you gonne do? jump on android??? for sure in the last wagon... if you guys had invested in meego probably you would have had more success. bad decision guys... seeing a big player going out of the market is bad for the whole market... NOKIA!!! you need to reinvent yourself!!!
