Why pay more for less just because its popular? I own am overpriced alienware not because of hype or bragging rights but because its the best. I vetted asus battalion and sager before I made my choice. I chose the dell because it was more customizable. If I wanted something popular I would've bought a macbook pro. Both cost the same. I dont mean to offend but there is always better for less. Options are great for consumers.

I know I'm in minority here, but I really want for Huawei to come and visit our little land called Slovenia.
G300 is available across the Europe except in the middle (that's where our country lies).
Me want el cheapo with nice specs Huawei products too!
Why all rich countries get it?!
Same was with iPhone, Zimbawe in the middle of Africa got iPhones before us! :/

I don't see any difference with current Ascend G300, specially when Jelly Bean update for G300 was announced some days ago.

yup, they really need to boost up their marketing campaign. the most significant product from Huawei here in malaysia is their USB wireless modem (not that much of user care about that anyway as long they can get online)

never had huawei products but I agree that they are not good at marketing and advertising. I am down in Australia and we have no advertising about huawei at all even though we have their phones in the market. they need to spend money on marketing cuz we do have quite a lot mid rang customers here.

It is a misconception that Huawei is a "no name brand" They make decent and reliable phones, that don't brake the bank. We own two of these. I have a Huawei Astro with Android 2.3 and my bro has an Ascend with ICS. Both phones work great and reliable.

Problem with Huawei and all those Chinese vendors is they want to become be like Samsung overnight without investment in awareness (i.e. marketing/advertising), so no one's ever heard of them, and they have to rely on operators to get their products out there. Operators will squeeze them on price like you'd squeeze an Orange for a proper morning juice. That's why their devices are so cheap. Another issue is that low margin, low volume don't get you anywhere. That's probably why without operators' commitment and not a lot of money to spend, D quad is nowhere to be seen (announced in Feb, remember?). Well done Huawei for another Android clone, at least with good specs. But I'd still go for an Ace Plus, probably a lot more expensive, but more mainstream...

Huawei products are not worth a look...they are the most problematic phone manufacturer out there. Not to mention their products are no good as far as functionality. It doesn't matter how cheap the price tag is, if the phones suck its not worth it. Pay a little more and get a phone that you will be happy with.

Huawei may not be one of the big boys but it's products are worth a look. You don't born big and I think they will try their best to make quality products to get in the game. Furthermore, their smartphones are reasonably priced.
