I don't think Apple store is a good fit right now as Apple is scamming everyone with their 30% app store cut. Many people and companies are mad about it and trying to get it changed.

Amazing that no company making phones markets a phone that comes with no preloaded software at all and you can just set it up yourself.
Maybe there is one but I have never seen one.
Phones all come with bloatware etc etc and it is unnecessary.

Not only that, but due to Huawei is based in China, the legislation itself does not allow apps like Facebook, Google - hence the ban in the country. The irony....
There're plenty other app store eco system - F-Droid (FOSS), Amazon, Samsung (they just simply don't market it as much), etc. But since most of these vendor isn't a necessity like Huawei, the Huawei 50cents fans simply isn't paying any attention.

I had the P6y for my kids only for 115 euro and it works fine. all kind of apps works great and I believe the new pega search engine works perfect. Some apps like youtube doesn't work but apps working with m.youtube.com works fine. So I bought the P40 pro (great camera and device) also tested some apps I needed and that where BlackBerry HUB and Mobile bank app to pay wireless. The first one I need a monthly subscribe and you need google, the second was oke and the banking app was working but when I wanted to pay I find out it has no wirelss payment support in the app for this device. I could live without the BlackBerry HUB but no wireless paying was not my idea of using this high tech device. I had pain in my heart after a few days to sending it back because it was an awsome device and could live without some apps.

I'm one of the milions happy Huawei users. 2 year ago i swich from samsung to Huawei. One of my best decision.

No it won't, in couple of years Huawei doesn't exist outside China. So developers won't make Any new apps for it. Huawei App gallery will exist almost only in China in future, just like it's been so far too.

We don't need new store, AppStore and PlayStore already offers basicly everything. Why would we need one same store more? We won't get any competitive store. We need new OS but it's just impossible thing to do because Apple and Google are so far ahead. That's why Huawei have almost zero change to success with their App Gallery phones outside China.

If you're roaming in China with none China domestic carrier network, yes Google works. But, for domestic population, no Google service works, unless you use a VPN, which is ILLEGAL for its citizen. China even stopped Google obtain latest satellite image for Google Maps. Have you ever travel to China??
Amazon had to change and withdraw some of its cloud service when the new online security legislation was in call and Microsoft has to do the same with Azure. Azure China website even state its service are customized and not the same with other market. They even had to show some its source code to the government.
