For most of us it's not a "mileage" issue. iOS powered devices will NEVER get to the same level of usability/customisability that android has.

Android 3 (Honeycomb) could even run on the MOTOACTV in stock launcher. MotoACTV sporting a 600 MHz TI OMAP 3630 processor and only 256 MB of RAM.
Heavy games require heavy duty CPU and GPU, though they don't have to bee quad-cores. Recent dual-cores have shown thay they pack just as much power as the quad-cores.
That said, the hardware in apples newest products - especially the GPU - is very good.

I'm not saying that nobody can in those countries, for I'm sure there are well-off people there, too, but for the majority of the populace, buying an iPhone, keeping in mind their salaries, is simply out of the question. There are numerous people on this planet that cannot afford even two basic meals a day. You might be doing well in your life, but that doesn't mean you look down upon or ridicule those that are not.
