Samsung reveal plans for two future Windows Phones

As a manufacturer, Samsung can use whatever OS they choose, even Apple os, dare I say it, and were prepared to pay for it as a patent settlement. They are hedging their bets by building Win 8 mobiles to compete with Nokia. There is no doubt they are on a winner as they are not bound to use Android. After all they just manufacture the mobiles, and don't really care about supporting them because they don't have to.

all OSs are crap in some or the other aspect..
iOS=crappy UI
android=crappy User experience-laggy UI
windows phone=crap as far as customization is concerned..
users give som much money for their devices..still these crappy mobile companies sell crappy phones..total waste of hard earned money..

My first smart phone was a Nokia and as you can see the Lumia 900's have re-ignited interest in okia who have posted impressive sales esp with the Lumia 900
If Samsung play this well, they would best wait until WP8 and release a Windows version of the GALAXY
As can be seen the Lumia 900 has everything except expansion, so a HIGH spec Samsung phone now would be a Lumia...
As you can see from the chart in 2016 WP catches up to IOS not just on Nokia but the other who have used this platform also
I think it may be sooner than 2016 WP overtakes IOS, as today there are strong rumours of the IP5 on 12/09/2012, but there comes a point when specs matter more than brand and the tariffs that are demanded with each Iphone release is one directional.
I do like the GALAXIES (especially the one I am in now!)
It wasn't whether it was on Android just that many switched to get the SGS II and SGS III for the specs
Expect LG Sony HTC to follow indeed HTC may be first.

All the current WP are running on the latest WP7.5. The difference is Microsoft does the updates and OEMs do their updates on Android.

Windows saving Nokia, Androids lags would of turned
away customers.
Think as everyone is learning to like the live tile interface i think Samsung will sell very well because its what people now demand as a phone home page.
Pushing a widget with an average of 3-7 second delay isn't cool anymore. People want it faster.
Smoked by Windows is happening everyday with people picking up a Windows phone somewhere then buying it.

I know that Samsung won't go well with WP, because WP is nokia's OS. Nokia overtake the OS and it wins. I just would like to Nokia release some Nokia android phone..

I doubt Android will have a steep decline in usage just because WP8 is released and as promising as BB10 is, it still doesn't have the same clout as Android, Windows Phone and the iOS. Blackberry doesn't know how to price their handsets right and the only reason an average consumer will be buying one would be BBM. Security is only really important in the corporate environment and even then, companies have started providing their employees Android or iOS handsets instead of Blackberries. Android may not have the same walled garden approach like Apple but it is the only alternative that has made an ecosystem all on its own (apps, head sets, etc) that WP7 and BB10 can only dream of. WP8 and BB10 might as well build theirs from scratch and of the two, WP8 is the only one that has a chance of succeeding, if it even makes a dent, in becoming a viable alternative to Android or iOS.

Nokia lumia 900 sold more than any other samsung phone with windows 7.5 what more if nokia was making android. Nokia is the best.

Samsung, Nokia, Apple, LG and... Are all good brands and develope real good quality products. The big question is if what really counts in the success and failure of a product, the actual people, are ready to give WP another chance. Considering 6.5 was years behind, then people couldn't upgrade to 7 and had to buy new phones, then WP 7 phones started crashing and dying when upgraded to 7.5, and finally, 7.5 can't be upgraded to 8 and people have to buy a new phone. I ask myself, considering I want an actual functional phone rather than a pretty phone, and with WP track record, do I want to give MS a chance while Android and iOS have consistently delivered stable and upgradable(OK may be Android not as much as iOS, but still consistent) OS versions and already have a huge App base?
