I am talking about native Asian language input methods on Playbook itself. I know I can view those characters on a PB but there is NO native Asian language input methods on Playbook! China became the biggest mobile phone market a few years ago and RIM doesn't want make money from the market. What a strategy. sigh.

and if we talk about hardware, rim has the best. rim owns the best multimedia hardware and now a days there is a lot hype about samsung local search for u in bb os 6 it was there and with the option of application search and if u dont find anything it search it over bb enterprise server. u jurk think before u speak.

If you never owned a BBplaybook, you will not get how good this unit is for the price. Even apple users have come hands down and applauded this unit. Its small, fast and has true multitasking..unlike apple. With 4gLTE and if they can keep the price like it is now...199 for 16gb or 249 for 32gb, this unit will sell. GSM arena should not call it a fiasco. A lot of people own BBplbks. It is the only device i know that allows you to play android apps, ios apps and bb apps. Can your ipad do that

They need to come out with bb10 first, before releasing any new devices. Why would someone buy this and wait for it to be updated with bb10. What if they don't end up liking bb10. Unless it's going to be dirt cheap ... They'll have to drop the price again.

Until now, RIM hasn't added native Asian language input support, e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc. IMHO, this can be considered a complete failure. At the moment, it's not possible to have a proper input without copy-paste. What a joke, RIM. The hardware is top notch tho.

I really do wonder why the PlayBook gets such bad press. I've got an iPad and an iPhone and when offered a PlayBook for work wasn't expecting much. However I have been pleasantly surprised.
                                    1. 7 inches is a lot easier to carry around than an iPad and I can carry it it a jacket pocket
                                    2. It is truly multi-tasking and moving between programmes is easy eand a lot faster than IOS
                                    3. The predicative writing function is really good
                                    4. The sound quality with or without headphones is fantastic
                                    5. The screen is bright and text crisp
                                    6. It's a lot faster than the iPad 1
                                    7. Amazing value in UK £129 for the 16G model
                                    8. Video and photos are good. The HD video alone would probably make the device worth it.
                                    9. Seems to be unlimited number of browser tabs can be kept open. The browser is very good

There are other good features too but what is bad are the apps - number and choice. You have to go through a lot of hoops to get the Android apps like Kindle and Pulse onto the device but they work well enough once on.

Lack of 3G is not a problem because I can hotspot with my iPhone for the Internet or bridge with my BB for work email. So all in all well worth the prices it is now being sold for in the UK. I wonder what the 4G will sell for. Can't be much more I would have thought.
