I have as many games I play and enjoy on my phone now as I did on my PC and the numbers and the quality only getting better with each day. And well, I can think about the future cos I sure do plan on living a long life.

Almost every first gen tech usually have poor reviews and poor sales. Whether it's computers, phones or services. Back in the early to mid 2000s, people reacted to having their music and movie library being digital and being allowed to stream on demand from any device the same way as you are now. Look at what happened there. It's a case of tech catching upto the concept. When stadia released, the biggest problems were all down to hardware limitations one way or another. But now, with the advent of 5G and the penetration into mass market it will have in the next few years, the effects are gonna be similar to what 3g did for steaming media on the go in the 2000s. Then ofcse, there is the next gen gaming and processing hardware that just released and the proposed GPU resource sharing that would greatly aid the scalability. So yeah, only a short sighted person will write cloud gaming off when it's still in its infancy.

Mobile platform always had the user base which is the most important thing when it comes to enticing developers to release games for a new platform. What it was lacking was the hardware and that's what has changed in the last couple of years. Now mobiles have the hardware power to run proper current gen console and pc games without the developers having to develop a severely downgraded mobile port. That's why, especially when cloud gaming also takes off, mobile will be the most important and popular gaming platform.

First you said nothing and then I list some of the current gen console quality games you can play and suddenly you go who cares. Just keep shouting this non sense. But the reality is, mobile is becoming a serious gaming platform and developers are increasingly releasing games with mobiles in mind. Not to mention the various last gen console emulators and ability to play so many retro and old school games flawlessly through emulation. There are many controllers out there that allow you to map touch controls to then even if the game doesn't support it, there by completely eliminating your argument. More and more people prefer gaming on phones and you might as well tie a blindfold if you don't wanna live in that reality.

First phone to do 1080p video recording.
First phone to have direct hdmi output.
The design was beautiful especially that steel strip on the back, I wish they bring back that design back in 2021.

Still got 2 tergra 7s and shields. Was using the shield as a sat nav until last year. In my 3.5t van..not my car.

I had the Optimus 2x, still shudder when I think back on it now. Despite all that supposed 'power' it offered back then, it's software was still an absolute dumpster fire of a mess.
Camera, wasn't bad by the standards of the day mind, this article prompted me to go back and look at some of the shots I took with it.
That's photo's though, video was terrible, It might have been one of the first to offer 1080p recording, but it did it at an advertised 24fps, it practice it rarely ever hit that mark.
looking back at those pictures has brought back some nostalgic feelings, none for the device itself though!
