Hi, does anyone here who owns the levis have a hissing issue on their pair and a buzzing sound when they are charging in their case?

James Whister, 30 Nov 2020They fit deep in-ear, and have those physical buttons to pr... moreIt isn't. The buttons are on the side, so the force of pressing them doesn't push the earphones deeper into your ear. Since you grab the earphone between your thumb and index finger to press the button, the earphone doesn't actually move much at all. There is the slight annoyance of the loud click that the buttons make when pressed but other than that there isn't any discomfort.

GregLu, 30 Nov 2020Then you can find some Bluetooth earbuds at 10-20 USD on Al... moreStill doesn't justify whatsoever to remove the 3.5mm Jack, it is still as stupid as removing support of previous Bluetooth or Wi-Fi versions.
And there are still other uses of the 3.5mm Jack than audio equipment.

There are still peoples that, even free, would not want earpieces and it doesn't justify adding this cost to the phone's cost, that's what I mean by it being expensive.
I would even prefer to pay for another gaming headset like my Corsair Void Pro (if I didn't already had one) than using free earbuds provided with a phone, for multiple reasons.

leVinchy, 30 Nov 2020The headphone jack is still used in budget smartphones thou... moreBut it still doesn't justify removing the 3.5 Jack that have been a norm since decades and that many peoples use and want.
Also it is also used for other things than earpieces, which is why I call it "3.5mm Jack/3.5 Jack/Jack" as it is intended, and not "Earphone Jack", there are unique accessories that can't be used with anything else, which is one of the many justification to NOT remove it.

If you want to go wireless, good, the Jack doesn't prevent it, and if you consider the cost of wireless justify the absence of cables, good, but it still doesn't justify removing the Jack.

There are 500$ and 600$ phones for a reason, 60$ is a 12% increase, there are many peoples that wait for smaller sold that this to buy something.
There are many peoples who can buy a 500$ phone but won't afford a 560$ one.
MAINLY if someone is forced to pay this extra cost for something that come with the phone but don't want it at all.

I have two Corsair VOID, one wireless and one wired, I always use the wired even when the cable get in the way because I hate degrading the battery of the wireless one when I don't need the extra range Wireless provide, the wired is basically the same as the wireless so it isn't because of the quality or anything.
The only wireless thing I would want is the Logitech G502 with the power Logitech mouse pad that allow for never charging it.
Also my Corsair VOID being a Jack devices that simply plug to its USB sound card allow to use it with other devices, including those without have bluetooth.

In my case I don't even like regular earpieces, I hate having something IN my ears, I find that gross, that's why I prefer headphones/headsets.
But if you add to that all the issues with Bluetooth earpieces, it is obvious that despite many like you preferring wireless for its practicality, there are still a lot of peoples that don't want it at all.
So it is better to just put the 3.5mm Jack port and leave CHOICE for those who want it.
Or even better, switch from a port to a magnetic connector, which despite requiring a small adapter, have all the advantages of both port and portless devices.
Also you never know when you'll need it for some reasons.

Don't forget that the industry also want to remove the USB port, promoting too much the removal of the Jack because you prefer wireless will make it more likely to happen in a close futur, and we will all hate that, but they'll still do it regardless.
Just consider, what if for some stupid reasons, they decided to drop wireless support (it could happen, crazier things have happened in the Smartphone industry), the same way I say that we should keep Jack, wouldn't you want that they keep wireless support and try to fight for it ?

They fit deep in-ear, and have those physical buttons to press. Won't it be very uncomfortable?

leVinchy, 30 Nov 2020The headphone jack is still used in budget smartphones thou... moreA good set of budget audiophile headphones with a microphone costs roughly $20-$25 (and sometimes less) on AliExpress so I'm not going wireless headphones until the cost comes down and sound quality goes up.

AnonD-909757, 30 Nov 2020It is still super expensive for peoples who don't need... moreThe headphone jack is still used in budget smartphones though, most smartphones that remove them are mid-range and flagships. I mean if you can buy a 500$+ phone a 60$ wireless buds should be within your budget.

And in my opinion going wireless justify the price of it compared to wired ones just because of how convenient they are.

I was against removing the jack before but when my earphones broke and I borrowed my friends wireless buds I got converted. It just feels so damn liberating without those wires.
