AnonD-972548, 29 Dec 2020Good, then show me how to carry that tablet or laptop with ... moreNot all of us live on their phones. I understand and agree, majority live on their phones nowadays, compared to couple of years ago. I'm not against behemoths phones; I'm against the disappearance of moderately sized phones.

Virtually everyone would prefer 100+" TVs, which is even greatly justified, being TV, but there are still nice 40-70" widely available for purchase. Options, I bet you hate it when they are avaliable. About the battery; someone that wants a phone of 5.8-6" is probably sensible enough not to expect it to have similar-sized battery as a 6.8 incher.

But even almost all entry-level phones are behemoths, nowadays, let alone midrangers and flagships. No thanks to the social media generation.

And if after all those complaining you still went ahead and bought it, you'd only have whined!

Strawhat, 28 Dec 2020just look at dimension, not just screen size. 164.3 x 74.... moreI should go to iPhone 12 mini because I told you that iOS is my platform of choice, right?

I used the Nokia 6.1 plus., and the battery wasn't mediocre for its size, and I'm positive that 3500 mAh could be fitted in there instead of the 3060 mAh it had. Also, trim that chin to today's standard, and the 5.8" could be 6".

That's a moderately-sized phone. I would buy it, and I personally know people that had asked me of a capable phone of such dimension.

Nafnu, 28 Dec 2020Somebody explain please, why would anyone need a 12 GB RAM ... more8GB should be okay, for now, for the overwhelming majority.

But 4GB? Tell me you're joking, please. If anything, 4GB should be the barest minimum at this stage. Asking why someone would need more than 4GB of RAM is nothing short of ludicrous.

I, myself, as a heavy user, wouldn't buy anything less than 8GB going forward. I don't want to be frustrated by my own phone/money. I rather save up and get what would serve me efficiently than settle for something cheaper that would be a source of agony or discomfort.

Those hours you mention translate into not more than 15% loss of battery. In some cases it is less than 10%.

You aren't losing 3-4hr of battery usage daily. Just stop with your lies.
Net gain of daily usage or screen on time is not more than 1hr for a phone which gives an average screen on time of 7-9hr.

You can keep it on low 60hz and get downgraded experience. Some of us aren't going back in time to experience amatuer 60hz. Learn about Touch sampling rate (This one has 480hz). Your Sony garbage can't produce screen this fast. Only Samsung can do it. You might as well go back to lower nits screen from 2013 since that will consumes less battery. Go beg Sony for putting a bigger battery. Those cheap cl0wns need to give proper fast charging. Enough of tortoise paced 21W charging!!!

Apple needs to take a note and do the same thing with the chargers: Offer them for free on request.
