Yo... moreI know. Mali renders different to adreno in pubgm, its been covered by anandtech years ago. Iphones have an extra setting that androids dont in genshin. But these differences arent too noticeable in most situations, but the fps is. Even the api is different, metal should give a nice boost to ios, compared to opengl or vulkan in android with drivers with missing features.
About the resolution, even the aspect ratio might be affecting fps, since theres some extra pixels in wider displays, or do they crop in a bit, idk. Would have to compare phones irl side by side. Though i do think something like genshin with a lot of options in graphic settings have the same resolution/effects options across devices on the same os atleast. Would have to see irl to be sure.

He said the temperature there is 35 degree Celsius. That's the reason it throttled so early.
May be at 25 degree or less it wouldn't throttle at all.

You cannot compare game fps between 2 SoC, let alone 2 different OS.
Mobile games aren't like PC GAMES.
For example : For Battlefield 1 game Ultra setting is similar for any windows device with any GPU or CPU. According to GPU and CPU power the game will perform differently but will render or try to render similar thing for different hardware.
But that's not the case with the mobile. 1 game may have different ultra settings for different phone. For example : An SD765 phone might have the same fps as a SD 865 phone because of 2 reason.
1. Less resolution display.
2. Developers develop those games to render differently when detecting high or low level hardware. A Mediatek 1000+ is running a game at 90fps and SD865 at 80fps doesn't necessarily mean MediaTek to be better. It's more likely that MediaTek device might be rendering the game at a lower grade. If someone inspects closely, they might be able to see difference in the quality of texture and details of stuff at the same setting on different SoC based phone.
This is why I don't really judge the SoCs seeing game fps performance.

I took a break for a month or so for the ex... moreLook, I think you'll agree with me that all SoCs throttle. Those people who complain about throttling don't know a thing about Chip. You can even make an SSD to throttle.
For a Laptop SoC if it doesn't throttle more than 15% under heaviest load it's a great SoC.
For phone SoC I believe any SoC is great if it throttles under 30%. But there are very few of these.
The high performance core in A14 is a monster. Even if it throttled 50%(which it doesn't) it would still be better than SD888(30% throttling) any day. Seeing the Geekbench results, that I can say. Because it's hard to cheat in Geekbench single core because the tests are completed very quickly before any type of throttling happens, this is why the thermal cheating doesn't apply on this test.
I really wished Qualcomm or Samsung made one high performance SoC with 2 cortex X1@3.0GHz with 2 cortex A 78 core core@2.8GHz and give the user to shut down either one or both cortex X1 core whenever they want.
This way the SoC would be more efficient and powerful than A14 SoC.

When presented with facts with linked sources, most of the time they all get called fake, optimizations, unfair, etc. I dont bother with the really ignorant people atleast.
This time the a14 throttled in one review, and didnt in another - in the genshin impact game. It did well in everything else though. But the 888 is pretty bad in both videos i seen so far.

Looks like you've got some common problem as usual on this site. I just got bored of these stupid people. So, deleted my account.
Now matter how you make those people understand the won't. They will keep saying Apple SoC doesn't perform as good as SD or Apple SoC is power hungry(biggest joke of all time).
If you give example of some website or good reviewer, they'll always give some stupid speech about them.
Finally I figured it's a time waste(mostly) because I did get to learn some from you. Nick and one other(can't remember his name) from this website.
BTW TechNick's videos are are very helpful for realizing what's actually going on specially which phone does what to gain extra performance.

Also this phone performs poorly in one of the games but that game is badly optimised anyway so I'll give it some slack.
