was hoping with google taking over moto mobility, we'd see some smashing good mobiles.
evidently they wish to deny us the pleasure. dont want to rise up to the challenge.

I have motorola fire xt and ATRIX 2 device because this brand give us feather in low cost than other brand but this is bed new for Asia when google deal with motorola I think its better future for us also but let see and watch

Very sad that Motorola is shutting operations in India.
Have been using DEFY , what a fine Touch Screen . Very sensitive and responsive compared to many other touch screen phones. Was waiting for the launch of Motorola Pro Plus in India but now the game is getting changed. Very Sad.

sad, were actually interested in looking at those MAXX phones with the magnificent juice! well, i think their products will still b sold here in Malaysia, only mayb the higher end 1s!

i am using a defy for the last 13 months and i must say: HATS OFF TO MOTO. i mean the build is just way too great. even after falling like 500 times it works just fine nd even though my gorilla glass screen is cracked, it works smooth! i wish moto was as popular as apple or htc.

good decision moto because in India high end means Samsung or apple and low end means Nokia handset ,, sorry but no place for you here to survive.

Really it’s a big sad News for INDIA that Motorola signoff their business, from last 2years experience I know one day its happen, they are stop their advertising and mostly common peoples are knows that Motorola shutdown from market so in this way they killed by own & make their self out of Market competition.

Didn't expect this from you Google, First you stopped Nexus S sales and no Galaxy Nexus and no signs of Nexus 7 and now got Motorola and stopped Motorola sales too in India.
I have been planning to get Razr Maxx successor over Galaxy S3 but u just scrapped Motorola Market in India.

motorola could have effectively promoted their defy range of android handsets. Robust handset are rare from competitors and that too fairly expensive. i wish they bring out more water resistant , shockproof , dustresistant , and scratch-resistant android smartphones in india. But bad luck for indians. we shall always welcome back to india should they want.

we all knew Google wanted Motorola for its patents, sure Google needs to get value for money and manage Motorola as it sees fit, But Motorola does need to streamline its range, the vast array of handsets that share a name such as Defy, Defy+ DefyXT Defy Mini, Atrix, Atrix2, AtrixTV AtrixHD, Razr, RazrMAxx, RazrV, RazrM etc, as innovators of the quad/quad band alot of model deliniation could be solved by releasing more Quad/Quad band phones for one country over 850/2100 900/2100 band specific handsets.. stick with a few chassis for a period of time and standardise the chassis to allow accessories to catch up and allow the owner to get value for money, a RAZR chassis, a Slider chassis and a flip Chassis are still required by Moto, but having a 3.2 inch 3.5in 3.7in 4.0in 4.3in and 4.5in screens are far too many options and configurations to manage effectively - if this was a car company it would be in mass confusion, CDMA and GSM variants are far too plentiful and now we have 3/4G LTE platforms too.. personally i won't go above a 4in screen anymore the handsets are too getting too big.. slow down Moto, concentrate on quality and innovation and the odd bit of quirkiness.. i loved the backflip most didnt but i still miss the perfection that was the V9 RAZR - that phone was outstanding - i love my Atrix but nowhere near as much as my V9

... moreyep, even if they pulled out their stuff from the asian market, as long as the phone (moto) has compability wit the local carriers, if the phone operates within the parameters, then i do believe the phone(moto) would work. a for the CDMA phones, i dont think it wud work?. but the real question is, are tech support for those stuff still ok within the asian market?
so sad that really moto wud pull out from our market, sniff sniff

whoa! im gunna miss the moto products xpecially flip phones and even android ones.
wuts goin on wit moto right now? slow sales in the asia pacific regions? coz here in the philippines, moto pulled out like a couple years ago. im gunna miss ur products guys. huhu

I see this as a huge opportunity loss by them. But it was evident from the past that they are not interested in improving their sales figures in here. With no marketing moves seen in the past 15 month or so.

Earlier post in GSM said that Motorola would concentrate on Asian markets particularly Indian market... This news comes as a surprise.... I'll miss MOTO...

Motorola really could have befitted from Android in this region, however they never seem to care much for it to begin with. Most of their flagships have been only CDMA. I was really into the Driod series but could never get them when they were fresh and by the GSM version came they were obsolete.
Not good news for ASIAN consumers.

My last phone from Motorola was ROKR E8, I loved it too Much.
I Think they design quality phone with unique design and they must reconsider their decision.
They may do fewer phone but they must have global coverage
sad to see them go
