The whole smartphone world is moving towards the very strategy which elop pushed nokia away from. That is owning your own OS / ecosystem. Shame this never saw the light of day. Id of bought one.

Man, the keypad on this beauty is an exact replica of E7 which is a great news coz it had one the best sliding out QWERTY keypads of all times. Alas, we will never see this dame in action.

How come Samsung can release Android phones, Windows Phone phones and have their own OS phones (Bada now, but something else is in the works), but Nokia wants to be WP8 only?

I think the point is if they did continue with meego then this phone would have come out shortly after the n9, like the sequence of the n8 and e7. currently own an n9 and if i had the option of the two i would have bought that for sure.

Looks good but red/black colors look odd... And if it had N9 specs it wouldn't be good. Not that N9 is bad(I have it, it's the best), it runs well on that 1 ghz cpu, but it's not 2012, more like 2010 and this phone wouldn't survive if it wasn't low or mid range, what it wouldn't have been considering the pricing of N9.

I hope Nokia fails with WP8, just that they will see Jolla rising from Nokias own ashes, with that "dead" MeeGo. Then even Elop will finally understand his biggest mistake.

so whats the point to post this canceled phone anyway, we dind't even know the specs, and why its to late.. hmm, let me think... the os is good but the hardware is weak and low..

After years of waiting for something like this to replace my N900, I bought the Lumia 800. Except for the Filesystem acess I love it.
