It will run an open-source version of Google's Android software.

It's a good approach taken by Facebook. I really appreciate this.

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2021Bla bla bla bla Sure, answer to someone who fight for your freedom and security by raising awareness of the issues the lack of privacy can cause, with "Bla bla bla bla", this is so smart of you, you must feel so superior now.
If it wasn't for people doing what I do, you would be a slave crying under inhumane life conditions right now.

Facebook? "use an open source version on android"? Ha ha ha, no. This thing is going to be as open source and free as any android device is intended to be by cell carriers, that is, not at all.
Oh they'll use AOSP as a BASIS for it, easier to develop it that way, but you're certainly not going to be able to build the OS yourself or install anything other than what it's already got on it, screw you, you're livestock, you don't get a choice.

It's been a long time I've refused from Facebook and WhatsApp as I always knew they collect user's data and store it. Which means they can be stolen easily. That's why I've found Utopia p2p as an alternative to all these insecured popular messengers. Hacking level is high nowadays and I thik lots of internet users already care about their security. So of course it's better to switch to something else. At least to Telegram, which is also from my point of view, not too secured.

Even the Facebook phones Flopped the watch would be disaster..!

I am so glad I left behind those cancer apps (facebook, instagram and whatsapp). Zero friends or connections nowadays, still better than to have false internet friends, good only to give you a like.

rolandudv, 14 Feb 2021I honestly doubt this will sell well given the bad reputati... moreMost of the people are using Facebook anyways but OS from Google is still far behind other smartwatches.

So by wearing a Facebook smart watch they will be able to track heart rate, temperature, sleep, know how you react when watching media, viewing their adds, read any message piece of music sent to your watch. You might as well try and sell your soul at the same time. The price will be incredibly good value as you are paying for it with you data. I really hope no numpties ever purchase this watch.

I honestly doubt this will sell well given the bad reputation of facebook. Who in their right mind would ever want this, or go as far as asking for it?
