I would take a USB-A port anyday over a stupid SD card port.
It is a more frequently used port than once in blue moon need for SD Card.

While usb a will be soon all replaced by usb c, sd card will not be replaced in the near future. So it makes sense and IT SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN TAKEN AWAY since the first place.
Tho i don't know why hdmi make a comeback. Maybe it's not as seamless as moving from usb a to c.

Now, remember the last 5 years of reviews and user comments about how great Macbooks are by removing all ports necessary for Pros to do productivity. Yes remember 5 years of all those positive reviews and comments about how those ports are unnecessary for productivity.
And now we have Apple returning back features that were standard 15 years ago.
It's fairly obvious why. Macbook market share shrinks every year and they're seeing their niche market slowly leaving as people see the bad engineering. This is the same knee jerk reaction on why iPads suddenly got USB-C, multitasking.

An iPad is pretty limited especially in terms of flexibility. Macbooks ARE the gold standard of PCs even since long ago but for gaming.

Oh, can't wait for 'the ppl' to lament-who needs all those old ports anyway, type-C is the future, pros don't need ports, they only need dongles.
Ofc they would be jumping like crazy after getting the quality of life improvements but at the same time those are hypocrites who bought into it all in the first place without as much as a hush.

1. they put the M1 chip inside
2. update the design (get rid of the chin or make it smaller, same for bezels)
3. make the keyboard bigger
4. Matte black color options
5. either high RR or high res (2K or 4K, i will take whichever one)
6. Make the magic mouse taller, in terms of height.
