Anonymous, 30 Mar 2021Oh come on! How could you blame Xiaomi! You need to underst... moreI kind of like the fact that we get Xiaomi phones so late in the US. I like the phones and would want to buy it on day 1.
But I'd be better off to wait a couple months for the price drop.
This way, by the time the phone gets to the USA, it's already dropped a couple hundred bucks or more from the $1200 price and that saves me money by being forced to wait it out.
You can't release a year old phone to a new territory at the original Day 1 price, especially after having already announced or even released the nexgen of phones. 😅😅
I couldn't even figure out why xiaomi bothered to announce the note 10 Pro, followed by the 11 less than a month later! 😅😅
They had already obsoleted their phone just a month later before they could even sell it for a while.
But I suppose if you can sell $1.8 Billion of phones on release day, then maybe you're more than ready to move on to the next model the next day. 🎉

It might be good doing something it shouldn't for now, but eventually fail at it.

They often don't protect much, like the pressure of a light rain shower for so many seconds before you put it back.on your pocket might get a rating somewhere, but a different one is needed more consistent and heavy rain or household shower, and another more for tap and more swimming. The amounts of pressure from these things is more than many depth based pressure ratings. Swimming in more than 100 feet or metres, from memory. I've been told not to even use my watch under the tap with 30 meter rating.

I remember comparing the OnePlus 7 to the K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro back in 2019
          https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9623&idPhone2=9791&idPhone3=9708
It had more camera lenses and a bigger battery, but the OnePlus was better overall.

          This Mi 11 Ultra is still worth it's 1200€, where I live it's cheaper than a Galaxy S21 Ultra(256GB) 1300€, and iPhone 12 Pro Max(256GB) 1380€.

What about the new battery technology? They were advertising it like something special? I was hoping for something like 8-10k mAh in a slim profile but in the end the same 5000 with fast charging? We had fast charging even before. Just maybe these kind of batteries won't deteriorate when fast charging?

Will this device be available in Europe? And if not, is there a way to buy it and have it shipped to a European country?

You should give at least 1 full year to xiaomi. Then they will definitely fullfill your wish.
Even some of these 11 series phones may be launched even after introducing 12 & 13 series phones in future.
