Like you say they are truly pushing the envelope of price to specs and contrary to some of the comments I read on here they are not simply gimmicky marketing they are full on specs that work properly.

Oppo and Oneplus. Two sisters are becoming even sh*ttier like Samsh*t. Only vivo who is still on Xiaomi league

I'm China at least most people buying phones like this from Oppo or Vivo are offline customers in smaller cities who go into a store and get persuaded to buy Oppo/Vivo because they get high commission for doing so.

Why buy Oppo when you can buy Realme with much better specs and much cheaper and both are from same company!

What an ABSOLUTE piece of SH*T for this price! WOW! This is the first time in a long time when my jaw absolutely dropped!! Snapdragon 4xx for 340$? What the f*ck is going on here?!

This is not just an flaming pile of diarrhea garbage trash, this is straight forward offensive - even at LITERALY HALF the price is still would still be expensive. I know this is just a phone (albeit TRASH one), but I am absolutely shocked at how Oppo could have let this happen. How? Why?!

                        loooooool

SD 480 is basically SD 665 for 5g. We know there are not much 5g for lower end, but look at Redmi Note 9T. No amoled and Mediatek 800u, but still cheaper than this.

The A54 5G is also listed for preorder on the JB Hi-Fi website, and it seems to be exactly the same, just with less storage and RAM, a different colour option, and it’s 50 AUD cheaper. The A54’s page says that the charging speed is 10 watt, but still says that it’s fast charging, which is a bit strange. I also think that the US price might be closer to 300 (i.e a Switch’s MSRP in the US is 299, but in Australia it’s 469), but that could vary from company and product. Also, while it is a 400-series SoC, it has 5G and the CPU cores are alright

a used iphone xs is still literally better than this.
hell even the redmi note 10 pro.

what is up with oppo overpricing their devices?

argh, Nobody cares for Oppo and Vivo phones anymore, they are trying removing /slashing of the specs and making it an entry level phone , while Xiaomi/redmi is actually pushing the envelope in adding flagship spec to their mid range phones.
and from the comments below it seems everyone agrees.

                                  Is this price a joke?

"the it seems to corroborate the switch to an LCD panel for the 5G variant, seeing how it clearly has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, instead of an in-display one."

Come on gsmarena team your still using side fingerprint readers as indicators of an LCD panel

Look how many amoled panel phones have some out already with no indisplsy scanner but with a side scanner instead

                                    Come on man pay attention
