Airpods are supper bad ! I bought them and they just stoped working after couple of months and my usage was very minimal . Same thing happened to everyone i know . All my products are apple and im a loyal customer . But shame on them to produce such a product !

Till this day i haven't found any other headset that can pull more bass.

I've had wired earbuds (normal ones, not silicone tipped in-ears), range topping models from Philips, AKG and Sennheiser before this TWS craze and the so called "massive difference" is non existent. And I've used them in everything from dedicated Philips MP3 player, dedicated Creative Zen player to smartphones and even really high end soundcards. If anything, AirPods 2 have by far the best bass reproduction and it's really hard to put low end into distorted overdrive. So much that AirPods 2 are the only earbuds in ages that I can even use for gaming as they deal with gunfire, explosions and thumping music with ease. Latency seems to be so low I cannot distinguish any perceivable difference between AirPods 2 via BT connection and my full sized headphones plugged into Sound Blaster AE-9.

Also since u have some xp w/ good sounding pairs, it was expected.

You wouldn't believe what nasty stuff you see when working as RMA agent when people bring stuff back. Especially in-ear headphones and their silicone plugs that apparently dig out all the nasty shit from ears and people owning them never bother to clean them. Or their ears.

I paid 150eur for the AirPods 2. Not good not terrible.
I owned many headphones in the last few years (majority of them wireless, some with wired connection). Sony, Sennheiser, Jbl, Skullcandy, Bose, Marshall, AudioTechnica being the best of them. I tried some less expensive ones from Phillips, Panasonic, Pioneer, SoundPeats, Trust, EarFun, Xiaomi.
Are AirPods the best sound? No. Not for 150eur. But for people owning an iPhone who want a good connection with their phones they are an ok choice. Especially if you can get them at a discount.
I am pleased that I bought the AirPods 2 now. I don’t like the shape type of the AirPods Pro. And seeing that they will put the same design into the AirPods 3, I don’t like them. Maybe they will sound better and have some sort of passive noise cancellation (because of the design shape), but I think they will cost more too (probably 200eur).

Sorry, not buying it. I've seen silicone tips and they were always ultra nasty and really difficult to clean from looks of it. Hard plastic, you just wipe it with damp cloth. I sometimes clean them with disinfectant and cotton swabs, but just wipe is enough in general.
