PS is doing well thanks to PS4 not PS5. PS5 in some parts of the world are not available since December and some even took it out from their website because it's unknown when if they will come again this year.

[deleted post]For this kind of rather harsh statement, I have to agree with you on this one.
Yeah, they lost almost all their market in Indonesia years ago when they employed half-hearted service center employees. Combined with up to one month needed to replace a battery and three months needed for a broken screen, they lost their market share in an instant. Just having great products with great designs cannot guarantee your brand's success if you have a really mediocre service centers and marketing strategies.
If there's one another thing Chinese brands are good copying from besides spec goodies, it's their accomplished rivals' customer service and marketing.
A real shame for Sony, really. Because I just love their design language and rare features.

Anonymous, 30 Apr 2021Sony has been reduced to a NCP meme... 100% correct Yeah, because Chinese phone manufacturers keep pushing their availability worldwide while Sony still stubbornly limited their availability to select few countries.
Plus, the Chinese phone manufacturers also offer the authorized reseller a pretty nice bonus and gimmicks if they could sell particular phone models above a certain sales number threshold, thus making lots of resellers pushing the Chinese phones to customers than other well established brands. So there's that reason.

Sony's mobile strategies have been right since the introduction of their original Xperia 1 and 5 Mark I. And since LG was already out, my bet is all on Sony to provide all those rare greatness of mobile phones: 3.5mm jack, powerful camera software, displays, and whatnot.
The only real shame is their limited global availability. The closest Sony mobile store is either on Singapore or Malaysia, not in my country.

Let me just add fuel to fire by saying that, Sony's current phones may not be comparable to a Lamborghini,
but future phones might be, depending on their multimedia quality mix.
I'm liking the direction Sony is choosing with their phones, although I'm not myself much of a Sony fan or customer, right now I have a LG G8x.
Future Sony phones might be class leading in terms of camera and music quality, 2 aspects often ignored in pursuit of more & more performance... Add to that their unique compatibility features, HDMI in, 3.5mm jack and all.

Xperia phones don't command same kind of attention as a Lambo. They are absolutely forgettable and to top it off expensive, which repels buyers away from it.

In comparison Xiaomi sold 145 miliion, Apple sold 200 million, Samsung sold 270 miliion,, Vivo and Oppo sold 110 millions each, Huawei sold 190 million despite ban in several places.
