Alex, 01 May 2021Sorry, but OnePlus promised 3 OS updates. So, I do expect 3... moreThat is reality... did you expect oneplus to provide 3 major os update to their flagship on time?no? nobody does it... a flagship device is now forgotten in 6 to eight months...new successor comes every 6 month instead of 12 month..Whether late or not oneplus 6 users will have the chance to use android 11.

I was a hardcore OnePlus fan, I have OP6T, I'm never going to buy OnePlus device again. They suck at updates, they only care about the current phone they are selling

"Considering the age of these phones, we should be glad they will be updated at all". Yeah that right there is the main problem with Android. A phone released in 2018 might be too old to be updated. Hey, at least you'll get security updates for another year and then you're on your own. You either buy a new phone or you deal with it. Oneplus now offers only 2 OS updates on new models so I guess they finally settled.

juci, 30 Apr 2021Oneplus 6 was released in 2018 May. That makes it 3 year ol... moreWhat exactly is impressive? A year long lag of update? There are teams of 4,5 people, who are able to release stable current OS for OnePlus 6/T.

First update was fast, second update was fast, but little bit behind, but this third update is just to say "duck off, here the update!"

Meanwhile, my OnePlus One got Android 11 at the beginning of April in the form of LineageOS 18.1.. :D

What would be impressive is if OnePlus skip 11 and go straight to 12. The 6 and 6T should still be more than capable on a hardware level to handle Android 12.

I get what you are saying and something is better than nothing, I just think it's still not as good as it could and should be.

Great, more bugs incoming... What a mess

OnePlus once a serious game-changer, looking today more and more like the next HTC for the benefits of OPPO.

                                Thanks BBK....

Of course Pixels from google do get the latest version .

That's what happens when you keep pumping new phones every 6 months. The pandemic has slowed down OnePlus which is good.

Used to love oneplus devices for their OS alone. That was before Oneplus (the company) decided to release mid-ranger and over flooded the product range with all sorts of hardware that they are unable to properly support now. Phones no longer get quick updates. Bugs are not fixed on time. These are some of the problems Oneplus is having now. I think their ambition has initialized their demise. Nowadays, to me at least, a oneplus phone is just like any other chinese phone out there. No more are their prompt updates and patches, or product support. They also no longer focus on the high-end hardware, because now they are producing inferior hardware and selling under the same brand too. I dont see anything unique about this brand anymore. good bye.

More like it might be at Android 11 by the end of this year. An OS version that by that point in time will itself be more than a year behind the current.

If this is your definition of impressive, then these companies really need not try any harder.
