Anonymous, 09 May 2021How can I update software after buying from there?If u buy the Docomo version, you can update thr phone via wifi. It works just like any other phones. Not sure about Softbank or AU, theirs are more troublesome.

I want to buy a Japanese phone ... morearen't these japanese phone have carrier-locked updates? you'd need to connect to their line first to even get the update notif, which mean vpn won't work, i've tried it on some old dumped sony imported from JP, connection via vpn won't give any notification for updates despite the phone supposedly having it. You'd need some manual rom flashing if you want to get the same OTA updates as people in Japan.

There are stuff that is needed for the panel to function and they are placed on the bottom side of the phone. some manufacturers try to make the bezel as small as possible by bending the end of the panel and hiding it behind the components, effectively shrinking the bottom bezel.
