OhNom, 12 May 2021Literally this, I have not seen more loyal fans than those ... moreAnd Android users only care about specs on paper even if vendor literally doesn't release a single update after phone launch. Oh it has 16K display at 6000 Hz and billion gigabytes of RAM and oh my god it has gazillion cores at bazillion GHz. It's literally all Android fanboys care about and brag about all day long 24/7. They also seem to obsess with what Android offered first, even if that "first" doesn't see a single improvement ever after. And Google has tons of that. A lot of half baked firsts that never improved afterwards. iPhone users wouldn't just buy a brick, but they do seem to care more about whole experience and not just specs on paper. It's why they are more willing to make compromises on specs if that means they'll have better experience through entire life of the device. And at least from my experience, that is in fact the case. Android phones are all amazing the moment you buy it, great specs for money and that's pretty much it. If I'll ever buy Android phone again, only expectations of it that I'll have will be what I get the moment I buy it because knowing how crappy support all of them have long term, I wouldn't want to let myself down and be disappointed afterwards.

Anonymous, 13 May 2021Says the guy who never used an Mi 11 Ultra or Mi 10 ultra o... moreYeah, I've ordered from some China platforms (Alibaba, GearBest, Wish, etc.) over the years so would opt for that route versus eBay. My biggest concern is will it work in the US as easily/well as say a Samsung Note 20 Ultra (which I can go get and have today)? I'm not a techie and I'm way too old to want to learn (I did jailbreak my iphones back when I had apple products but my last one was the iPhone 3g, so it's been awhile and I'm no longer willing to fuss with stuff).

Now if someone would make a:
        >6.7" screen phone
with great cameras (especially >120* wide-angle)
        ideally have a headphone jack
with no visible front camera (under display or pop-up is fine, though I'd be OK with no selfie camera at all - since I'm not a selfie taker)
        and a side/rear fingerprint reader
        = I'd be happy!!!

I don't really care about battery life (long as it lasts a day) or charging speed (long as it can fully charge in 7 hours). Memory is important but 256GB or greater is fine (built-in or via memory card slot). And I've never dropped any of my phones nor gotten them wet, so I don't really care about those aspects. I added wireless charging to my phones that didn't have that built-in, so I don't need my next phone to have it built-in as I'll either use or cord or add it if I miss it.

Now, where's the manufacturer that'll make what MIKE wants? It may only sell one, but I'D be happy!

Anonymous, 13 May 2021Better to buy from Giztop or Trading Schenzen Yes, I mean in the US. I want the Ultra but don't want to have to jailbreak, or sideload, or do any other complicated (for me, a non-techie) stuff. I just want to order, get it, and have it work out of the box same as my current phone (Huawei) that I bought from Best Buy (pre-blacklisting of Huawei).

I'm long overdue for a new phone and the Mi 11 Ultra is the only one I'm really interested in. However, if it's going to be hard to use or unsupported in the US, then I guess I'd just get a Samsung.

I am now sure that Xiaomi will make even more competitive phones,
that will clash with the iPhone market or the other top brands ,
making Xiaomi the top competitor on the Global market
thus, With this we normal users can get more benefits as they will try to improve their UI ,specs, price and many more. Can't wait too see Xiaomi improvement the coming year and so on.

benjieloria01x, 12 May 2021Oh yeah I am actually aware of Android phones in China havi... moreThere really shouldn't be anything similar to GMS in Android which was intended to be an open platform. Developers that rely on GMS as a backend are locked into the Google ecosystem and cannot distribute their apps on non-GMS phones which is very bad for competition. Huawei has developed HMS as an alternative but has made it available for phones of all vendors which is the correct and proper way to do this. The difference lies in the seriousness in which China enforces anti-trust laws and the failure of the West to do so allowing monopolies to exist and prey on consumers.
