I could be wrong, I could also not care less to be honest, it's just a cable at the end of the day, and I have plenty of both laying around.

iPhone 13 Pro Models do also get this feature since android devices had that feature for smoother scrolling, gameplay, watching movies, etc, but I suspect that you don't own this phone! If that's true, then people around the world don't really care about what your opinion is! Sorry to say!

I never found any use with the wide-angle on my 12 mini. Looking back, wide-angle is cool. Loved it on my G5 over 4 years ago when I first got it. But I would rather have more optical zoom with a Telephoto.
For some reason, I still prefer using my Pixel 3 over my iPhone 12 mini for still photos. Each shot just looks so perfect. I feel recording videos is where Apple always wins but I still prefer Google's computational photography even if the colors will end up being fake like Technicolor.

IPhones / Samsung S series, these are high end phones with a 1000 + dollars price tag, so let the owner choose the restrictions in use of the mobile not the mobile OS.
