I use an iPhone as my personal device, have done for the past few years. But as a consumer who’s only real loyalty is to myself (sorry Apple but your big enough to take care of yourselves) I want tough close competition because it brings out the best in the competitors, and I reap the rewards.
As an iOS user it does me no good for Android to suck, quote the opposite. I loved what I saw when Android 12 was announced, because I thought Apple would have to up the game to counter. Well that didn’t quite happen this year as I thought iOS 15 a tad underwhelming, but there is always next year…….
And who knows maybe I’ll choose to go back over to Android at some point, they are only products for consumer choice at the end of the day, not worthy of the total adoration or sheer loathing some seem to ascribe them. Until then I don’t want either of these two trouncing the other, I want them neck and neck clawing to be out in front, cause again this way, it’s the consumer that benefits.

Android vendors are notorious for such shenanigans. I was excited at first, but then instantly got super suspicious about specifics. I'll have to wait for more confirmations on this. Hopefully it's true and might push other vendors to do better than their lame 1-3 years they offer now (depending on device and its price). Might even do something really stupid and get a Pixel. I do like the visuals of the 6th one though other part of me doesn't want to replace iPhone which works fine and still has several years of support ahead. We'll see.

I have Android and although I think that 3 years is enough to weigh the improvements of iOS in 5, it is quite stupid to say that it would not be better to be 5 years old, that is something undeniable even if people want to say no, after Google announces the 5 years for pixel, if it is as it is rumored, they will go to wet commenting to iPhone that they already have a number of updates, although before they said they did not need them, and, although they do not have a pixel
I think they should be more honest, I prefer Android, but I would like to have some iOS stuff, and I'm sure vice versa too, since they didn't need the widgets, and when they were released they only mentioned that as sick Xd, but none admit that it I would like to have things from your competitor, come on, they are only buying a brand, it is not that they have to blindly follow it, or an operating system, it is sad to see how both sides want to defend all the stupid things that their companies do, if they complained, they would have better things and we would only win the users creating more competition between brands, but they prefer to applaud like seals everything they launch, I hope one day they will realize that brands depend on them, not the other way around

OhNom, 15 Jul 2021I don't like Apple or anything like that, but I'm... morePeople think I'm this massive Apple fan for some weird reason just because I'm happy to tell that experience with iPhone and iOS is actually pretty good after being fed it's absolutely terrible and literally the worst thing ever for some 8 years. Then tried it myself and realized it's actually pretty damn good and is especially good with things I care about. They also have this fixated idea I hate Android as whole. Because saying Android should have better long term support (as all have it pretty bad including Google's own pixel phones) is apparently a bad thing and I must be Android hater then. Lets just dismiss I used Android for 8 years before and I was perfectly happy with them, I just really didn't like the updating part of it as every single phone I had, vendor was very quick to dismiss support for it at the first possible moment.

People do not understand, they seem obsessed trying to get a feature out of each phone, if they are so sure that it is better they would not need to do that stupid thing, they only do it out of self-pity and to fool themselves, because they cannot have an iPhone and they want to feel that they have what better, even if they don't really think about it
I am different, I have no interest in having something of them, but neither an obsessive hatred for trying to overshadow what they do, here most would be wet if they are given one even if they deny it, in the Droid news few comment, but since it is Some Apple, there are all going to criticize, but come on guys, they are better than this, everyone buys what they want with their money, if they are so sure (I am), that they are better, they would not need to throw so much hate, think about it and do the community a favor
