It seems to me the old arguments for slagging off iStuff like 'too expensive compared to Droid', 'idiot tax' etc simply don't hold water anymore . The latest 'flagship' models from Samsung and the other A brand manufacturers are as expensive (and in some cases more expensive) than iPhones, and for that you get a clutter of Google, whatever the manufacturer throws on top of that, and Google selling your data to whomever wants it, and a very sad 2 years of OS updates. Whatever your opinions were in the past , objectively Apple must appear to be a viable alternative at this time.

Sure, you can customize Android more but the slew of cheaply made handsets and the lag that is STILL present on some mid range devices and low end devices makes iOS feel more premium. Hardware and software working together much better than any Android.

Reddit app on my note20U is struggling just after 20mins of scrolling, it will start to lag while scrolling and when you view the comments sections it'll freeze for about a sec. facepalm*

It literally lacks basic features. It was just so bizarre how I was trying to save an image from a post and I just couldn't, I had to share it out into a browser and save it from there or something. On iOS you just long press image and save it. Zero fuss. That really hit me and this was like half a year ago tops.

Lol Oh yeah the optimized software that a... moreJust compare common apps such as Instagram & VSCO on iOS to Android. the iOS ones are well optimized, it also has more features plus, the one on androids has a lot of issues. Photo quality is one those common issues.

                          iOS has better apps too, one example of this is the Adobe Fresco, it is available in iOS while on android they only got the Adobe Draw which is like adobe but discounted lmao.

                          Not just that. iOS has more apps to offer in terms of creativity

                            Lol every year, I keep watching the haters having less and less legitimate reasons to bash Apple, pitifully resorting to the same outdated flaws/issues that iphones used to have. It's like they just can't accept the fact Apple actually improved, sharing more similarities to Android in both software and hardware than ever before. The best part is nowadays, their ranting somehow ends up attacking other Android OEMs and their users too. Brilliant.

                                I own both android and IOS device. Galaxy note 20+ and iphone and I have to say the app on IOS run smoother but I like the custom look on android. Android update is a joke compare with IOS.

My 170 euro Xiaomi phone have lasted me over 3 years and i have no issues with it. I dont need a flagship phone cause i will never use it more then 10% it is capable. I dont play games and i dont make videos or pictures. I maybe make something 10-20 pictures a year. For gps and browsing internet i dont need to have flagship phone.

                                  And this article is about US market and not about the worlds market and it's really hard to compare IOS with Android in sales. Especially when IOS is by only 1 brand and Android is from 100 different brands with each have low end to high end from low end price to high end price something for everyone plus all the fakes phones that cost like 50 euro and people buy they also

                                    Me, 20 Jul 2021It makes sense as the life span of an iphone is longer than... moreIf you can buy a android phone from a brand that opens bootload for you when you ask then you can have over 5 years of android updates and security updates. This 5 years updates is just beyond dumb argument. Never mind that with the price of one Iphone with what you get that 5 years updates that means you need to buy the latest model you can buy 4 times 1/4 of the cost of the iphone model of android phones and you have 8 years of updates and security updates. Just switch every 2 years for a new phone that cost 200-250 euro. By the time you get your 4th phone for your updates sakes you already have way better hardware specs on the phone then your bragging 5 years update phone for the same amount of money. This update argument is from dumbo users who pay more just cause of some dumb updates that usually make the phone slower or can brick your phone like we have not seen it from iphones happen before where they systematically do it just so you go buy new model

Like performance of social media apps like Twitter or Facebook? Those apps are filled with junk and on Androids are usually used on low end or low-mid end models which is why majority of users has bad performance. I don't think people running SD720G and above have any issues tho. It's all those nameless Mediatek chipsets and Helio P22 one that are the issue. iPhones, even cheapest iPhone SE 2020 has top of the line chipset from iPhone 11 or people still rocking iPhone 8 with A11 Bionic should do fine really. You can't really find a sub par chipset on an iPhone...
