Looks like they struggled to source parts and had to create a mish mash of components. It's clearly more tailored to the Chinese market than the West like their previous models. Actual reviews will give is the full picture, but it's not looking good so far.

Monochrome sensor is 3x more light sensitive than RGGB of same size.
For example, a 1/1.7" monochrome grabs same amount of light 1" can grab.

Hmm. seems pretty normal specs for flagship grade. The design and screen size doesn't even interested me. I prefer more compact size. I'm a huawei fan boy but a little bit disappointed with Huawei this time.

With multicam setup, there is no space for 1".
Brands need to choose between single cam 1" or multi cam smaller cameras.

At least ones made by sony.
But this could be new sensor of different size, so hard to guess.

Not trying to be rude but doesn't p50 feels like a generic flagship with no custom speciality like old p and mate series

Wide is 23mm, the wide mono is 26mm.
This means cutting the edges to match 26mm FOV, so this way wide and wide mono can work together.
Reducing size of ultra wide in favor of having space for wide mono was right choice.
It is least important of the combo.

13 MP Ultrawide and useless Black and white sensor. Zzzzz. P50 Pro is letting me down. But maybe the results will talk for me. Since Specs are only half the story. Also, i don't mind having an 4G phone. Final question : PRICE???

Everything about its cameras all looks good on papers, but what is the actual sensor size for each of them? They intentionally hid it during the presentation which makes me think they aren't very large.
Also, it seems that they finally dropped RYYB CFA from the main sensor for the additional monochrome camera - let's see how this will affect its low light performance,

What the hell is wrong with huawei? No periscope variable zoom lens? Instead they downgraded optical zoom to 3.9x.
