Samsung is doing really well in attempting to popularise foldables. there are 2 things i think really helped:
- prices have decreased from previous generations, making the flip3 being in line with flagship phones with the extra of being foldable "making up" for the lower specs.
- there has been enough generations of the series for people to be like: right... it seems much better than the first one so might be good enough to use.

Assuming there are no bad stories about the screen durability, it will give people more confidence about owning the device. I also believe many iphone customers won't budge until they see what the 13 is offering.

Samsung product placements in K-Dramas does wonders. Watched a K-Drama about the nine-tailed fox (yeah, like the one in Naruto) and the main character was using a Samsung foldable phone.
A bit like Apple product placements in J-Dramas. Everyone seems to be using iPhones and Macs.

There's a mistake in the first sentence I guess. It says "Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Fold3 5G" instead of "Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G". Both links lead to Z Fold3 5G page.

If the preorders really are this high and these are people who actually will buy it, the drop in sales will going to be really big in coming months, because this sounds too high to maintain.

The only thing missing is for Apple to announce its passable for this market to be activated. We all know that Android manufacturers follow in Apple's footsteps.
