The Pureplay Z7 is the latest pair of wireless earbuds from the Chinese manufacturer Lypertek.

I've bought the Z7's and I am quite underwhelmed.

The sound is not bad at all (a good step up from my OnePlus Buds Z) but the app (PureControl) is not functional, I can only get it to work when I fully unpair the earbuds, uninstall the app and restart my phone. But pairing in itself is bothersome and sometimes just impossible. It's been a nightmare trying to get the buds to pair with my phone and laptop and switching between both.

The button controls require too much force, making it uncomfortable to use. Pressing the button forces the buds further into the ear canal.

The good thing is that I've been able to buy them for about 80 euro's (that's about the same in USD). At that price I can't be all that mad at them but at the retail price of 180 euro's I would be steamed.

The comfort is good as far as I'm concerned and the battery life is great. Other than that the case and the buds look nice.

At the end of the day, I kind of wish I saved up a bit more and got the Sony wf-1000xm5. They will do for now but i would not recommend them to anyone unless your budget doesn't allow you to spend more than what these cost.

Pro's:
- Sound quality
- Looks
- Battery life
- Comfort
- Sound does not distort at higher volumes

Con's:
- Pairing problems
- Button controls
- Poor quality app

KarimAshoor, 30 Aug 2021Is it just me or this brand has LinkinPark logo ?🤨I thought i was the only one who noticed that

"The Pureplay Z7 support SBC, AAC, and aptX Adaptive codec" No LDAC, LHDC, aptX HD! Not interested.

Pay 230$ and buy Jabra Elite 85T.

DK Lord, 30 Aug 2021In the image, I can see 5 pair of foam tips...!!!Inside the tip holder, only the bottom row is foam (three pairs). The top two pairs are silicone, which, along with the pairs attached to the earbuds, form the remaining three silicone tips.

The tips placed outside the holder are the extra pairs of silicone tips that shouldn't be there, as mentioned in the review.

            I don't like their design

Looks like generic Alibaba earphones that should cost $15 at most
