Weekly poll results: zoom cameras need to start at 3x at least, variable focal length is preferred

I think it would be good some kind combination of optic and hybrid. If they can put some 64mpx RBG sensor at 3x (optical, not hibryd like S20/21) and a 108mpx sensor at 5x (with debayering work) it could make such a good job for a range between 3x to 10x with good quality. (Xiaomi has showed us how a 48mpx 5x optical zoom delivers respectable quality up to 10x)
Usually reviews show us just the "sweet spot".
For example I know galaxy s21 ultra is good at 3x and amazing at 10x, but I don't have a clue of what 5x/8x digital would looks like. But I know for sure it won't be good.

Considering periscope lens, it's possible, lens quality is still a wonder though.
I would prefer bokeh over variable zoom anyway...

Main difference is: Zoom- hi res in whatever zoom you need, 1 lens is enough.
Prime lens: need multiple lens to cover just some FoV in zoom range, easier to have quality lens, better in low light and better colors, lovely bokeh.
As for thin smartphones, having multiple lens is not a problem, big zoom, not to mention having fast enough aperture is.
For better imagination, look at sizes and quality/performance of lens for APSC/FF cameras.

The poll was totally useless as something like "3x" isn't a hardware specification. "3x" doesn't mean that you get 3² times as many pixels.per object. "3x" doesn't mean that the focal length is 3 times as large. And 3x does not mean that the image circle of the lens isn't large enough for "2x" or "1x" photos.

Having 15 cameras is dumb, but since you love stacking them on a phone, could you please add a macro lens in there? What about infrared (real FLIR, not bs filter)
Also, in the beginning of the Android, I was able to take photos on my HTC Desire straight in negative mode. What happened to that feature? I can't find it anywhere. . I get a ton of filters, silly stickers and everything else except for the negative filter. Using a Samsung now.
Oh, and since you clearly have the room for a thousand cameras, why the F can't you add the SD card slot??!

All this inside small phone like Samsung S6.

Yes, continuous zoom is the way to go.
And more importantly gimbal like stabilization on all camera modules.
And I wish if they could make the f/1.2 aperture in smartphones (This will become the most hyped feature).

My setup would be :
1.variable focal length 50 MP Samsung GN1 Sensor (from 10mm to 35mm) with OIS and ISO up to 409600
2. Variable focal length 48 MP Sony IMX 586 sensor (from 65mm to 200mm) with OIS and ISO Up to 204800
