Upcoming iOS 15.1 beta 2 fixes the Unlock with Apple Watch bug on iPhone 13

29 September 2021
This bug prevents the phone from being unlocked, some users even failed to set up the feature in the first place. A fix is on the way, though.

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2021Well, iOS kinda does. It may not have 300 billion settings ... moreThe reality is that you obviously haven't used android phones recently. My son has Iphone 11 and only uses it for messaging friends and stuff, maybe sometime to listen to music. I love having my Realme X3 superzoom entire day, messaging, browsing the web, and playing games at least 4-5 hours. Iphone 11 has to be charged at least once during the day because it drains fast, and I only charge my phone 30 minutes before bed because that's how long it takes it to go to 100%. You are clueless

    what a waste

15.2 or 15.3 will now support face id with mask, which I'm 100% guaranteed that it might likely work well with garbage masks that never goes away! Ugh, so trash😑🙄!

This is the reason I've switched back to Android because it just works.

TFL, 29 Sep 2021Did android users claimed that "it just works" ? Well, iOS kinda does. It may not have 300 billion settings and features in which everyone gets lost and manage to break things, but the stuff it does offer, it kinda does "just work" with zero maintenance or fiddling. Having less options is sometimes beneficial thing.

faceID is very unsecure in covid reality. it forces you to expose your passcode in public. it's been 2 years and will be 2 more years that we all live with masks. it is not smart that apple literally done nothing to adapt to the new world order other than saying "go buy my smartwatch to unlock with mask". was it too hard to add touchID to power button which would be cheaper than under-display sensor?

I've noticed FaceID with watch unlocking is much more reliable on older phones too. When this feature was first launched it failed like 50% of the time and I had to type in PIN anyway. With iOS 15, it maybe fails 1 in 30 times and even that because I had mask really high above my nose or something and it just wasn't connecting with the watch right.
