It's only Android phones available at those luxury prices. The best of the best tier 1 products reserved for the best.

It's crazy how 80% Android devices are outperforming and embarassing the most expensive iPhones in wide variety of scenarios, but it just shows where that Android share comes.
A device for everyone. A 100$-200$ that is enough for most people speaks volumes about the optimization of android on even the cheapest devices.
There are no compromises on 100-200$ Android phones but even a 1000$ iPhone is full of compromises

Excellent screens, top level processor, very good sony camera sensors, excellent face unlock, excellent speakers, excellent build quality. Their camera quality is still one of the best. not seen any shortages of new phone and new chips launching..! maybe just that old phones are just too good to replace

The guy in mom's basement producing random numbers has some new random numbers to sell to you. Counterpoint: Feeding your confirmation bias addiction.

From the article: “But Apple seems to be the most resilient and least affected”
Well of course, Apple are a prioritized client for chipmakers as Apple sell significantly high amounts of high end/premium smartphones, in fact apple are the only manufacturer who manage to sell enough premium smartphones that the Pro and Pro Max are consistently in the Top 5 best sellers globally, while everyone else can only get their budget low end and mid end devices into the Top 10,lol.Apple brings them most profit to suppliers versus competitors, some suppliers who are a competitor will actually prioritize apple over their own smartphone subsidiaries because they know Apple devices no matter the price will sell. 🙂

” iPhone 13 demand is one of the strongest ever

According to Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty, iPhone 13 pre-orders have shown strong demand. The rather long shipping times suggest a bigger than expected initial demand too, rather than a low supply.

Previous reports stated that Apple is looking at a bigger iPhone release than last year, increasing the iPhone 13 series production by 15 million units, which is a 20% bump. ”

Mikeromeoz, 01 Oct 2021My wild guess is, they've 'booked' the order... moreIt's been a fair mix of TSMC and Samsung nodes for the 800 series (like all other Qualcomm chips) but yeah the iPhone 12 was a megacycle release and apple booked all 5nm that's why AMD, MediaTek and others are stuck on 7nm and 6nm nodes

AnonD-1016461, 01 Oct 2021How Apple? How?They are TSMCs biggest and most loyal customer so they get special treatment (deserved) and they place chip orders consistently. That's also the reason Apple always has dips on the newest node and when Apple is done with it it gets opened up for others.

AnonD-1016461, 01 Oct 2021How Apple? How?My wild guess is, they've 'booked' the orders for the current (and perhaps even future) chipsets so they got the manufacturing priority, thus their supply chain is barely disrupted by the current affairs. Why, you might ask? It's business.

I also believe that's the reason why SD888 is made on Samsung 5LPE instead of TSMC'S N5, since all past 8-series Qualcomms are TSMC-made, they don't have enough capacity to produce more 5nm chips besides Apple's.
