Hi, also intriguing to note the transparency issue.
I first noticed this when gutting a broken water damaged S4, in fact it was only later models that integrated the heat spreader and foil into the panel.
Astonishing to see a transparent display!
I also noticed that with the S4 it was possible to make it glow using UV light from the back, as there was no protection at all here.
I also observed emitted faint green light on my dead Note 4 panel when irradiated with alpha particles and gamma rays.

          This is misinformation:

Perhaps we also need to say a few words on LCD vs. OLED. An LCD has a backlight (typically white) and it blocks light from it using several polarizing layers (including a liquid crystal layer). An OLED – Organic Light Emitting Diode – doesn’t need a backlight as each LED emits its own light

LCD does not need a backlight either it all depends of the configuration of the LCD screen

The TCL NXTPAPER is LCD and has no backlight...

they did remove features from phones so they can make more money by selling those features separately.
ie: they removed the 3.5mm audio jack, so if you need 3.5mm jack, you have to buy the adapters/converters.
they sealed the battery, so if you need to change your battery, you have to go to the shops and pay a huge sum of money.
they removed microSD card slot so if you need extra storage, you have to buy a new phone with bigger storage capacity.
              etc.

I don't get it, some people saying lcd is good but if a flagship or even a midrange is using a lcd panel they start to complain saying stuff like lcd=no buy. It's like what they say, "you can't please everyone" 🤷‍♂️

lcd is good but if oled/amoled/microled are lighter thinner and more suitable for 4k res or 120hz ltpo tech then choice is very obvious i guess. this should be the display standard for all flagships next year in my opinion and sadly lcd is no where closer to match the standard. i do like ips lcd colours more than oled but i prefer a high res and battery display too. higher the res more pleasing it is to my eye. atleast this is what i feel.
