Just merge with AUO and TSMC HTC.. you can't compete by yourself. Especially when Samsung is providing you components
they make to you. I honestly don't see how HTC is even allowed to compete based on the fact they actually don't make anything
in a cell phone.

HTC made some very good devices running Windows Phone 7.5 such as the Radar and the Mozart, not to mention making for years Windows Mobile pocket PCs for other companies. Their new Windows 8x will sell very well and their 8s has no competition in the market given that the Lumia 820 is much more expensive.

(Yes, that means November was lower than October and December was even lower than November). One month is not a trend, but it is certainly better than last year's trend.

HTC has been producing great phones for years, but that doesnt make one bit of difference. what makes people buy a phone is the amount of money, marketing and buzz that is put behind each launch.
HTC do not have the budgets available to market phones like Samsung and Apple, you barely see an HTC advert on TV anymore, in the street etc.
They need to rediscover this aspirational feeling they gave to customers who owned an HTC, just like the Apple and Samsung owners feel.

HTC management is the most stupid company.
The technicians are the BEST in the world coz they create most beautiful design for handsets, best mobile camera with image sense tech., best user friendly & most beautiful UI on android-HTC Sense, brilliant hardware with features like internet pass through & media link HD, superb widgets etc. The list is long enough for its technicians to qualify as among the best.
But HTC management doesnt listen to its customers.It will release the best phones in only a few countries;hurting their own profit. It will launch phones at very high prices. It will not listen to bugs reported, broken multitasking issue, webpage reloading issue while toggling between apps, improper updates, battery issue etc. This list is also very long.
I dont understand how they can be so dumb & not think about simple things (which is considered as high priorities for customer) like listening to feedback & then improving on that. SAMSUNG has capitalised on this stupidity of HTC & is winning on every front.

HTC must be the most stupid company in the world, they create the j butterfly which is hands down the best mobile device on the planet bar none, nothing comes even close to it.... NOTHING! Then they only release it in Japan???? To make matters worse they give Verizon a the phone (again on an exclusive deal) but cripple it with no SD card support and only 11gb usable memory! Eh??? A worldwide release last month of the j butterfly would have sent HTC share prices through the roof and put them back in the game making them billions in the process, do they want to go bust or what! They deserve to making such clueless decisions!

Don't interpret too much into this... Q4 is X-Mas business and of course November and December show higher turnover than the previous 4 month... simply has nothing to do with changed product portfolio or change in trend.

jocmaan, 06 Dec 2012Y agree with you. Touch wiz is no more the same as in past was.Many use Nova Launcher, or any other of the many user-interfaces that can be downloaded from Google Play! No need to use Sence or Touch Wiz! Nokia WP8 can not even change the launcher, user interface, from the Metro-UI to the beautiful Nokia Harmattan lancher!

I can not see any reason why anyone that wants to be locked in to the Microsofts, virus- and malwareinfested, world of WP8 would buy anything else than a Nokia? WP8 is Nokia, and only Nokia!
One X+ is a very good phone, but too expensive!

Well well well! Look which platform boosts OEMs out of misery!
The One X didn't do anything, and a simple plus sign is very unlikely to have helped HTC. Many factors must have played a role, but I too think Windows Phone was a major one.
Eagerly waiting for sales figures from Nokia and HTC.

fyi sense is better than touchwiz. my brother has sgs3 with Touchwiz ofc but i chose htc coz samsung's design really sucks!!!

Its clearly the one x+ thats the 1 thats increased htc sales in the last month or so, I thnk lumia 920 won the w8 phone battle
