SHAZAMM, 23 Nov 2021Becuse china prices are reasonable and more affordable...am... moreAnd thus the world sold their body and soul to china.

I understand stuff needs to be cheap, but damn the world is so extremely dependent on China it is quite ridiculous.

People claim US is the most powerful country on the world, but the same second I start to laugh and tell people to think for a second what would happen if China closed their doors for us.

Countries around the world should start doing more regional production, relying on China as much we do is beyond stupid, the whole world is betting on that one single horse all the time, and the moment that goes wrong we all end up in a mess.

But no, people need cheap stuff, the cheaper the "better" and thus things will never happen, it would be so much better if companies around the world would spread their production, instead relying on China or other "cheap" countries.

But the fault of this all are we the consumers...

Italy was like, we need money.

Italy looks at Amazon and Apple.

Jokes aside (yes it is a joke) they both deserve that at least, trow in other companies like Google or Facebook in there too.

Z, 23 Nov 2021Yeah but it could forewarn future actions, such as banning ... moreI use apple along with my samsung, but I am not bothered if say one of them got hardware sales in my country blocked.
I would just shift to another company which are in stock in the local city.

thankfully a small store for xiaomi has opened up, so that means at least one more brand in the local market for me to choose from.

amazon wise, I would never shop there again anyway

Those big "especially" American firms, do exactly what the want to do, no respect for laws at all... They should be banned instead, that would hurt.

I just think the fines should reflect the earning power and value of the companies, the 2 mentioned can easily afford this amount.

but as you say , it's hopefully a warning to them and others
