Still nice to see Mediatek be near the top.
And now India start making their own chip to, this can only be a good thing.
Indian mobile tech know what they are doing 🙏🏻

Currently its China that's taking the lead and would have been if there wasn't anything done to counter it.

Most Big companies Nowadays are leechers, especially in smartphone industry, they spend pennies in R&D and wants everything for free, they spend More on marketing and gimmicks than R&D.

As a fan of mobile tech i will Always support companies like Samsung, Nokia, Qualcomm etc who use lot of their Revenues doing Research and drive technology forward.

From what I can see, I think mediatek's gain in cpu market is thanks to its highly successful helio g series for budget phones and it's dimensity series for midrange phones, Thier previeous heilo p series were not stable in performance.
Thi idea of bringing solid performance cores on an aging but still very efficient 12nm process node for budget devices ( helio g series) has proven to be a smash hit, I'm glad for this competition and I hope the dimensity 9000 gives the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 good competition as that is good for everyone, I'm also happy to see that brands like unisoc is growing too, the more players in the CPU market is better for everyone, I just hope they release budget CPUs on armv9 very soon

When innovation becomes industry standard the. Patent owners must not discriminate when distributing licensing

What Qualcomm would do is blatantly not license big players

And would only give to those it deems as not a threat

Which is why they got in so much trouble with fees etc

Any leak concerning Qualcomm's 2022 SoC that will be able to go head to head with Dimensity 7000?
IMO, they can't rely on inefficient SD888, and they can't keep overclocking SD865 into 2022.
I think they need a new 5nm (preferably TSMC) SoC with the latest A-710 & A-510 cores but not the power-hungry X1 nor X2 cores.
