Seriously, will they be used for games and I mean playing games, not sold in 1s by resellers who can't guarantee they were not already used?

I love how they use the same name for both the desktop and mobile department despite representing wildly different performance and often chipsets. It's a wonder how they have not been sued because of that. Imagine reading a review of 3080 ti, thinking it is what you get on your laptop only to have half the performance due to thermal contraints, lol. Without regulation these companies are masters of bait and switch.

Yikes, that's a hard pill to swallow. Being a laptop-focused graphic card, it's hard to see it having the same overall performance as its desktop counterpart.

Well having Lenovo Laptop with RTX 3070 and runs smoothly every game i played at full details and a 4K reslution.
Costed me 1800 bucks.
Bought in mid september 2021.

if owning a new laptop with rtx3090 is cheaper than buying scalper's desktop RTX3090, then I think I will go ahead and buy bunch of laptop for mining, lol :D

Buy a good phone. Play mobile games. "Do you guys not have phones?"
For your PC gaming needs, get a OLD system, maybe NUC7i7bnh or a NUC8i7hvk.. buy a dummy HDMI plug, run it headless.. then remote using your phone. Else for the casual.. just use goforce go.
Walla, you can play in the toilet / bed / car / train / boat. Liberate yourself from that hot jet engine rig.

I could not help but cry, when they destroyed hundreds, if not thousand confiscated GPU.. coming from someone who's using 1050, that was one of the most depressing scene in my life :(

You didn&#... moreMiners managed to squeeze a decent chunk of MH/s from gaming laptops with RTX 3060... just imagine with those new mobile GPU's can do, so most of new high end gaming laptops will end up in miners farm rigs anyway (thanks to the scalpers) and very few gamers will succeed to get laptops with those newer Nvidia GPU's.
