Moreover, Huawei has actually no problems without gms. it has it's own appgallery, where qiuet many banking apps are available and you have petal maps, which is the same like google maps, you have a pre-installed email app instead of gmail etc... the only thing why huawei is being seen as killed off is that the west doesn't let many apps work wothout a google play account. basically, there is no software/os barrier etc. which wouldn't let apps work with huawei.

            Finally! Apple is now a champion since 2021! Now, Google, Samsung, HUAWEI and Xiaomi make it on the top 10. Unlike the poor sales such as OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus and the only Indian brand, Realme, none of which, are collectively owned by BBK for the rest and the Indian government for Realme.

But you don't mention endless problems and issues that also brings with it. You also mention APK's as ultimate salvation yet moment something isn't on GooglePlay, casual users (which are the huge majority, not us geeks), the app suddenly doesn't exist anymore. If Android was so open, then Huawei's ban of using Gapps wouldn't make no difference. Yet it basically killed off Huawei. You're not looking realistic at it. Also what's wrong with iOS's approach? I used to be Android user and apart from few iOS idiocies, I like it a lot despite all the endless limitations people like to throw around.

                  Anonymous, 27 Jan 2022Contrary to that, it actually proves a point that not every... morei am of the same opinion. just to be honest, apple products are made for those who don't know anything about computers. consumer has no control over ios, there is no free space for creative people to play with the system. you can't root it, you can't install apps from other sources than the app store (android has apk files) and you are obliged to use the software as it is provided by apple.

I've happily dumped iPhone 7 Plus to a Galaxy Note series, just because Note are much more productive than iPhone. Similarly, I've dumped my Macbook to a Non Macs because I need the USB ports and more essentially HDMI port rather can buying a port from a store.


                    Hence it doesn't matter if their products have become better on paper, conveniece never go hand in hand with the whole Apple Ecosystem.
