I think we have reached the pinnacle of power in the Soc dept, that it doesn't even matter if you have a flagship Soc vs upper mid range ones,just like the 870, dimensity 1200, heck even the sd778 could run genshin impact on high graphics without having a hitch for an hour.

I guess that there's a lot of people who really want to slash off 2 seconds of load time from triple A android games or want to have their phones run 4k 60fps without stuttering. I guess now that they have reached 1 mil. AnTuTu scores, they should now focus on software integration or A.I processes that really benefit human kind.

that we will get k50GE with SD8gen1 and k50pro+ with D9000 (i like it)
if we look at k40-series**, only diference betwen pro and pro+ was main cam so i think this year camera will be the same, because if k50pro come with SD870 will have last years base nonpro models soc : ( (I am ok with it if it will cost less than 500eur )
For k50 camera i think same as last year but ultrawide will be 13mp and maybe 64mp main.

I'm expecting the gaming with d9000 to do better than sd 8 gen 1. Geekerwan a YouTubers received engineering sample and gpu wise slightly behind and cpu already outperforming sd 8 gen 1 despite engineering sample with no good cooling method and already has longer sustained performance before throttling than sd 8 gen 1.

It's like we buy all Lamborghini to go to work but the traffic is keeping us at 50km/h. In this way we waste a lot of fuel and money for the badest but useless power.

I get that the author is basing their stuff off of what the specs look like on paper. They would need to have the devices in hand to judge them properly, but a quick youtube search for performance comparisons will show you that the SD 870 holds up over extended usage better than the SD 888 and way better than the 8 gen 1 (which cannot even finish a stress test without overheating). The newer processors would be incredible with proper temperature control, but it just doesn't seem possible with the phones that are being released lately. In general use, it probably won't make much of a difference. By this logic, why spend extra money for a chip that claims to perform in ways that I don't need only to overheat and throttle to the level of the cheaper version? Hopefully the mediatek chips will perform as advertised, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Tfw a "downgrade" from the 8 Gen 1 to the 870 is hardly even a downgrade despite the 870 basically being 2 years old.
Can't wait for the Dimensity ones.

Wait the redmi teaser said that the vanilla will be powered by sd 870 and the pro will be powered by mtk9000 and the gaming edition will be powered by 8 generation 1

Will be a phone that shall use way cheaper components compared to 12 Pro so its BOM can be way below $300. But Captain will claim by reading specs its hardware is same of the $1200-1500 phones, despite those having hardware that cost more than $550 (value higher than retail price of this phones) and also claim xiaomi makes no more than $10-15 per unit sold.
Anyway, having mi10 ultra will be better deal than the k50 pro+, if you like xiaomi devices.
