Anonymous, 09 Jan 2013really a bad marketing. no tv ads. no live demos on retail ... moretotally agree! If customer doesn't know about the cool features about your phone, they wont buy. They dont buy just because HTC didnt get their homework done. Sad but true!

really a bad marketing. no tv ads. no live demos on retail shops. htc has great phones and great hardware but a very poor advertisement. samsung is master in marketing that's why they are on top..

Poor marketing is at the core of this failure and not releasing the HTC Butterfly world wide was a missed opportunity. The battery life on my One X+ is fine as it lasts a day and a half by the way so I consider battery life comments redundant.

Well its a bad thing about HTC company. it was a products made by HTC, but when it comes in marketing they're failed on it.

To be expected. Bad marketing all round & their agents in South Africa are really bad, Leaf, HTC's agents. If you look at service providers here, they only have 2 to 3 HTC phones on offer. Where all the other manufacturers have at least 5 & up to 8 phones to choose from. I will sadly have to choose another make of phone if this continues.

I am not suprised HTC havent done so well, the battery life on the one x is the worst ever, and its unremovable, you cant even extend the memory with a micro sd card.

Just move away from the Android-trainwreck and try finding two other OS'es that might better suit your Products and you'll be okay HTC.
It's stupid to be in the same market as Samsung atm.

Real shame i hope they bounce back. I have had many HTC handsets, currently the One x and would continue to use them. I like the sense overlay on android and the handsets have a quality feel to them.

this goes to prove that not all smartphones should go android,they should stand out i believe HTC is a good company making quality products that are strong and are reliable. this is why Blackberry should not go android why nokia should have stayed with their OS.

If my HTC (Raider 4g) is anything to go by, i can see why HTC is falling behind. Useless external speakers, weak battery in their handsets, which is now non replaceable. HTC, it is a mistake to impose your idea of what is great hardware on customers. That is why people flock to Samsung and reject your phones. HTC, you are not Apple, who has successfully convinced people that what Apple says is right. You need to go back to listening to users.
