Which is why I have no problem with OEMs releasing devices with 3 GB of RAM. For a lot of people, that's plenty enough to chat on Whatsapp, surf the web, receive calls, and play an infinity runner game during commute. Different strokes for different folks.
I simply can't bring myself to understand why the folks who think that's enough for their needs have the irresistible urge to dictate what MY needs should be.
Get what you need. I have no clue how often that has to be said for folks to finally understand. You're getting 12/256, I'm getting 16/1, many others will get 8/128. Everyone getting what fits their needs. Except the din**ts on here, who are allergic to word "choice".

I'll get the S22U 256/12. Altough i know 8 gb is enough for me i have to say 12 or 16gb gives that premium feel and plenty headroom .
256gb is a must as here 100gb in use on V30+.. altough too lazy to push some files too laptop . Again: 256gb gives more space and so it just makes it all more relaxed, but ok this was about RAM, not storage space.

mawlki, 09 Feb 2022You still have not answered the simple question: What speci... moreSince you asked respectfully, I can't run more than one instance of PowerBI on 32 GB RAM. It crashes and hours of work is lost. With 128 GB RAM it is possible to run 3 instances, with scant multitasking.
TL;DR: More RAM = Better Productivity = Time Savings.
I do not understand why I have to explain that on a tech site tho'. It's implied that anyone commenting here is a geek. You can't be a geek and not know about specialist applications that gobble RAM. RAM is essentially how much stuff you can work with. Processing high-res video on RAW, compiling and debugging heavy code, rendering animation, developing MR, performing complex data analysis; these are stuff that require the system to manipulate reams of data and perform a gazillion calculations concurrently. Hence if you scrimp on RAM, it'll take forever to make headway; like trying to download all 6 seasons of Schitt's Creek in 4K over a dial-up connection.
If all you're going to do is play NBA 2K and sh*tpost on Twitch or Discord; then 16-32GB is right up your alley. But if you're a professional, using software most of the population hasn't heard of, then you need more; and more importantly, can afford more.
On Reddit or AnandTech, I would not have to type all that. Says a lot about the wannabes on here.

Can you give an example where 64 or 32 gb RAM is giving slower operation then 128Gb. It is just a genuine question.

The biggest innovation of the last 5 years is removing the headphone jack. Maybe the next big innovation will be to remove the volume buttons on the side
