At the consumer wireless market, codecs mean nothing; Developing the best driver and frequency response is what matters. Codecs and FLACs only matter at the super high-end open-back audiophile market where the resolution of the headphones has become so high that it exceeds Spotify's max bitrate of 384 kbps.
Also, I was wondering, doesn't cranking up the bass slider alleviate the bass issue?

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2022Strange design and no bass. Stay away.open back headphones aren't anything new. This is just the wireless earbud take on a subset of headphones people have loved for years. Personally I absolutely hate ear buds due to earwax buildup and I can;t wear them for more than 30 minutes without having to take them out or reposition them. These look like they will work wonders for the purpose it's built for

With the airpods you still hear sound from your surroundings but it's still suppressed. And you can't listen to music while talking to people.
Therese should be like the ear duos and with them in you'll probably even hear your surroundings better.

The majority like anc but the ear duo where for people who want background music while still be able be aware and interact with their surrounding.
The linkbuds are probably allot better in the sound quality department as they have special driver which is able to produce sound in the circular shape instead of just the tiny opening of the ear duos

Even if price was $400, would still be better deal than those fake airpods from chinese brands.

There was something like "Xperia Ear Duo" I guess it had somewhat same technology and concept though the design is vastly different. But it's future was totally obsolete... Let's see what happens to this one.
