Not exactly, this phone costs 1,999 mexican pesos, something like 150 dollars.

Just for example, a 2 year old Samsung Galaxy Ace costs the same as this phone (I know the Ace has the upper hand in some specs but it's an obsolete device right now). Any device is overpriced here! I currently have a Motorola RAZR MAXX which Telcel released for 10,499 pesos (roughly 750 dollars) which is insane considering my phone isn't a flagship anymore. It's much better to get phones here on contract (like I did), so I didn't pay that price though (and I'd never have paid such money). Wanna know how much it costs to get a low end ANdroid here?? Lets say Sony Xperia Tipo (190 dollars), what about the Samsung Galaxy Mini II (190 dollars) or the LG Optimus L3 (costs the same). Wanna get into mid end territory?? A L710 is roughly 320 dollars), a Galaxy S Advance is 450 dollars or a Sony Xperia P which tips the scales even further. If you want to get into the flagships the SGSIII is almost 800 dollars, the Note II costs 60 dollars more, the iPhone 4S costs the same (16gb) and don't even get me started with the iPhone 5 which is unsurprisingly more expensive.
But my biggest grip about price strategies in Mexico is the fact that L505 was released with a higher asking price than the former low end L610 which costs some 40 dollars less than the L505 and the L610 has deffinitely the upper hand with the extra storage.
So I agree, this phone is expensive considering the limited features, I'm pretty sure if available Internationally the price would be much lower in other markets but it's clear that, with a carrier who owns 70% of the Mexican market share (Telcel), their price strategies don't seem to change anytime soon. Now you know how you can become the wealthiest man in the world (Carlos Slim owns Telcel)

Need octa core quad core to work...... moreyes really king of lags in your dreams , my 1GHz scorpion single core live with walkman is smoother than the lumia 620 on ics so what about jellybean phones??Octa core is not needed at all and is just for marketing ,quad core made the impossible possible , with pc games' emulators on android with those beast gpus even consoles are far from reaching some intensive games on android , and with flash support ( after jellybean you can get the apk from anywhere) and with multitasking ( true multitasking) and all those features android's needs won't be as wp's needs but even though single cores like xperia j / e / ace plus / galaxy music / galaxy mini2 will get jellybean, however even quad cores are priced at very reasonable prices , ah by the way if you are following technology full hd is only available on android and full hd can never run with a single core , and you talk also

This seems to be a mid range phone considering it's good design and relatively high price. Although, being included in the Lumia 5 series might imply racism isn't? For a phone with that high price, they should have at least given it a 4" inch screen and be included in the Lumia 6 series.
Just my 2 cents
P.S. I have nothing against Mexicans okay? They are nice and hardworking people.

I can't understand why Nokia keeps releasing phones with an OS that declared dead before releasing phones (N900, N9, 808). New Windows Phone apps won't run on this device, only on WP8 devices, because WP8 is a totally different OS!

Oops, WP8 has support for upto 64core CPU. Android uses powerful hardware to Hide it's performence. And an 8 core exynos doesn't even have enough power to compete with a dual core Atom chip. And WP8 needs 1080p support.

Need octa core quad core to work...... moreyour wp8 run smooth in small amount of ram because your wp8 can't make a true multitasking and limtd features...and it dont have a lots of apps that way it dont need a gig of run run smooth..compre to andriod evn glaxy y can multitasking and yes andriod has lag in thr low end dvices but what..ios and wp8 can make a low end dvcs as prce of what can offer of andriod lew end dvc in a market now...andriod is for all of type of ppl..and andriod is super os that way they get the trust of thus mobile manfcturer..

Meaning all your text messages and apps are all gone and you'll have to put them back. Android is too much hassle, that's why I don't use it anymore. Custom roms are way buggy as if Android is not buggy enough.
