TrashBaby, 21 Mar 2022it is???? Except for the superfluously powerful M1 chip ... moreso mr wise guy how do you compare the ipad to android tablets on creative/digital sketching with apple pencil?

Anonymous, 10 Mar 2022Keep dreamingit is????

Except for the superfluously powerful M1 chip (which considering the hardware and software apple offers, is just completely wasted power), even the baseline Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 tablets are far far superior in every way. Add to that the S8+ and the S8 Ultra models and it isn't even a fair fight. Hardware, screen, software, RAM, storage, connectivity, ect. Everything but that uselessly powerful and fancy CPU.

Every single spec is dominated by even a mid range Android phone from two to three years ago. IOS is locked down and oppressive while a rooted Android can even outperform and outlast a windows desktop machine that costs several times the price.

Dont come back until you educate yourself.

Nick Tegrataker, 09 Mar 2022The majority of x86 apps work thanks to Rosetta 2. "Ha... moreYeah but running an emulator (that's what the Rosetta 2 application is) means a MASSIVE hit to performance. And considering the m1's graphical capabilities are vastly inferior to even the ancient Nvidia 1000 series...

Yeah the m1 is a glorified potato chip. But sure it'll shave another few milliseconds of your file save times lmaolmaolmao

Anonymous, 10 Mar 2022Would love to see a M1 like chip in a Samsung Ultra... alas... Why would Samsung need an overpowered and superfluous CPU lmao?

Even the BEST apple chip cant even compete with the ANCIENT Nivida GTX 1000 series lmao. Add that to the fact that apple must run Rosetta 2 (an emulator) to run almost any software anyone cares about. I mean all you get on an ios/mac is basically adobe's suite of shovelware, and of course the usual office suite clones that Android already has better versions of.

Hey the M1 is indeed the best CPU which means... nothing. It just means it is slightly faster than a decent modern Intel or AMD chip at all the things even a $150 walmart tablet can do. To the m1's credit, when it is running Win11 in an emulator it is still slightly faster than a Snapdragon 8, but Android can already do everything a win11 machine can and far more, so that's the definition of 'an exercise of futility'. Besides, a tablet is too small for most win11 applications/UI anyway.

And the M1 costs an insane amount of money too. No thanks. I'll keep the Snapdragon.

How many Hertz display it have

I like how they just throw the M1 in as an excuse to keep the price the same, but you can't even come close to leveraging the M1 on iPadOS (it's actually just iOS) except for like video editing. It's overkill. Even the A15 is overkill for iPad since it barely does anything. I wouldn't even have an iPad Mini if some manufacturer wanted to make a small Chrome OS or Android tablet.

If the Touch ID is built into the home button of the iPad then why doesn't the iPhone also have Touch ID built into the power button?

Still no flash, no quad speakers, no 120 Hz, no 128 GB base storage...what's the point of M1 chip? Can you run CSGO now or something?

At least they should have given 128 GB base storage, considering one of the reasons to buy iPad is the longevity...this is just too ridiculous.

No 120hz which makes sense for iPad Pro models, besides ipad air with M1 chip is more appealing than its predecessor. I must say Apple in Tablets Apple is the undisputed King even with the entry of Samsung Tab ultra
