The numbers don't add up because ARM is literally that much more efficient that x86.
Also, non-integrated GPUs are actually worse because their farther away from the CPU, which slows down the computer.

It's why 4000€ Mac Studio presents nothing for a content creator if a single project can return them basically entire sum of it, if they do it well and fast enough. Equipment has high value return even if it costs a fortune from regular user perspective.
I mean, it's the same with a Caterpillar digger. It's super expensive for me and would return me zero value over time. In fact it would only lose it in my hands. But in hands of a construction company, investment is returning with every use of that digger to a point where it starts making pure profit. It's same with this stuff.

The processor in our common computers are known as general processors. They try to do lots of things but not necessarily better at all things.
Games don't test everything. Games don't test how well your cpu and gpu function in AI or ML or VM, etc stuffs.
That's why there exist a myriad of tests for different benchmarks. You are so off the mark!

Game is a all-round test including physics calculation, graphics, data io, decoding, etc. Not something like single purpose file compressing and decompressing.
You can design a processor just for zipping files. That will be like million times faster than any CPU in the world, but your processor can only do one task.
Often those codes and stuffs in a game are under-optimized.
Means that if one cpu can do gamming, pretty much it can do any other thing as good as they are.

I checked the GFXBench s... moreMany are games related tests and no real apps like Handbrake, DaVinci, ProTools, Topaz, Affinity, 7Zip, etc. There are many more other sites benchmarks that reflect the native processing power of the M1 architecture very positively.
And among the lesser scores for M1 max, they are mainly onscreen results. Offscreen is way ahead of the RTX2060.
Seriously those benchmarks are likely ran on Rosetta 2 emulation on the mac and not optimised for native M1 architecture.
I haven't read about anyone using the 16" M1 Max laptop complained it is slower than the older Intel parts. Every owner said the Max is so much MUCH more faster than the Intel chips. The Ultra just raised the bar and is going to make many more people very satisfied, and Apple will sell tons truck loads of them.
