Android is done. Its pretty much new skins, new themes, new useless gimmicky features every year that were implemented by Samsung or 3rd party apps years before. Still lacking of quality apps. ZERO professional apps. Games are loaded with garbage microtransaction and paywall. Optimization for tablet still sucky.

This is getting weird... After all these years they still can't seem to come up with a something more final. New OS every year means it's in constant beta, desperately needs major security flaws patched or they are so good and the tech changes so fast that they release a new OS each year. Change the location of stuff to confuse non techies and add more visuals to slow down old phones and generate a few more sales. Android can't be developped like a it's being done by a bunch of guys in their basement and needs a long term vision with a solid base.

Android 13 still lacks proper desktop mode? Meanwhile Samsung, LG, Moto (of all companies) and Huawei had desktop since the past 2-3 years.

Problems with android 12 and pixel 6 pro and the official wallpapers:-
Live wallpapers aren't live, they just slightly move (or slightly moving sea waves, it really isn't "LIVE").
Zooms in standard wallpapers so everything is blurry and pixelated.
Can delete wallpaper and not able to re download them.
No actual page to find new wallpapers.
You can only choose some pictures for home screen/lockscreen/both, literally half of the "official" wallpapers in the same folder can't all either be your home/lock or both wallpaper (it means the wallpaper you want probably can't be set for the screen you want and you have to individually check even if the other half the pics in the folder can be, all random order too).
Android 12/pixel 6 pro launcher:
Notifications is just a long mess of random notifications so you have to keep scrolling just to get to the right one, like how badly iPhones deal with them (compared to Huawei which separates notifications and settings, makes iPhone and Google look stupid with their ways).
Having notifications and settings all in one and only showing 4 setting toggles, makes operation slow and clumsy to be honest. (again Huawei is slide down middle for notifications and slide down far right for settings toggles, which you see ALL THE TOGGLES, and music/multimedia tab, and brightness slider with settings gog too... THE ONLY LOGICAL WAY TO DO IT but hey, we banned them from Google 👍)
Lackluster of any sort of options and choice, even the battery info screen is awful and gives basically no info (like the display settings too, only 1440p mode) it's like Google is just going "hey, trust us".
Anyone that says stock android or pixel android is any good I laugh because its awful, just absolutely rubbish so these new "android 13" features should already exist and needs to almost be revamped to be a fun, useable UI just like the pixel 6 pro (a boring, not very useable device that seems to make everything harder for no reason to make your experience frustrating at best).

Everything being copied from other OEMs, much more advanced in their interface.

Currently, the media controls in the notification area are TR-SH.
The seek bar is too low on my Pixel 5 and I have to swipe upto show it. It wasn't the case with Android 11.

Effects could be like dimming, blurring, frost effect, so you can manipulate image without having it to edit priot to setting it for wallpaper.
Still miss the Nexus lines running across the screen. That was such an iconic animated wallpaper.
