guys dont update ur galaxy to UI 4.1 . my galaxy 10 after updating it from 4.0 to 4.1 is now overheating without any reason and battery drains faster the whole phone is lagging pls don't update im trying to figure out a way to fix it . i might go back to android 11 or UI 3.1 THIS UPDATE SUCKS FR

There was a similar issue last year when my S10e updated from Android 10 to Android 11, but everything was fixed in about one month later with the next update. I hope that "Samsung" will fix the new issues, too.
By the way, I figured out how to fix the bug with the one-hand mode. For some reason it was turned off in the settings menu after the update (just found that a minute ago, wow), but it was still possible to activate it by double tapping on the Home button, except that it basically turned off the sensitivity of the screen. Once I turned the one-hand mode on, it works perfectly fine now.
I also found a fix for the slow switching between the opened apps. I entered the Developer options menu and set all the animations back to .5x speed (I had them set at .5x prior the update, but looks like it reset my custom settings there). Strangely, after the update they were all reset to 2x, which made them feel quite slow for my taste. My phone is super responsive again. Sadly, many users don't know about the hidden Developer options menu and may experience some slowdown that they previously didn't had.
